I think he admired Mu Deok's beauty and got fascinated with her eyes the first time they met. But the attraction or feelings he has is for Naksu's soul/personality because it is Naksu that is mostly "active." He called her MuDeok coz technically Naksu is inside Mu Deok's body and of course to conceal and protect Naksu.
