So I stopped at episode 18 and based on comments on the remaining episodes and the ending, I think I really don't need to continue this drama. Don't want to waste my time on such a letdown. What a shame cause I was enjoying the initial episodes.

I’ll put this on hold until the ending comes out. I’m only at episode 18, and wow.. the comments for the next 10 episodes are really negative. Will only come back to watch this drama if the ending is good, otherwise can’t be bothered to waste hours of my life on subplot fillers, frustrating villains who never die and a shitty ending. Ngl, I’m sad cause I love CY and LYT but the plot is just too damn frustrating.

The FSMM series is cursed, didn’t the scriptwriters learn anything from the flop of the first 2 instalments..?

Sad that this drama is faltering. I’m only at ep 18 and the comments here don’t bode well. Started strong with good plot and character development, but somehow the drama is getting really draggy and going downhill. I love a good antagonist in dramas, but here the antagonists are sooo frustratingly annoying.

And why does the good people just stand around, giving space to let the antagonist Jingting talk and talk…spewing lies, and influence the Qiyi alliance people? Jingting did so much talking while the good people just stand there being framed and accused, like what..?! And then when finally Jingting’s true colors were revealed when Fugui came back to rescue his dad, they still didn’t kill him off....

I like CY and LYT but I’m so close to dropping this drama.

I’m watching and enjoying both dramas. But prefer this to moonlit reunion. Generally i like more angsty dramas, so this is more up my alley. Different preferences I guess.

Wang Ying Lu (aka Feng Bao Bao ❤️ from the awesome drama I’m Nobody) is perfect for this role! She’s so cute and likeable, unlike many cdrama FLs in similar cutesy roles who usually come across as cringey, using fake cutesy voice. I’m not usually a fan of cutesy naive FLs but she somehow made the FL so lovable here.

Gosh, thought I was the only one so disturbed by her crooked lips! I have only seen her in one other drama, You are My Glory and I don’t recall her having crooked lips. Maybe I recall wrong 🤷‍♀️

Yes, if u like wuxia fantasy dramas and don’t expect much romance. I’m enjoying it, and I’m not even a fan of yang yang.

I don’t understand the low 8.1 rating.. while I haven’t read the source material, I think this drama is actually really good. I’ve not seen a lot of yang yang dramas, but his acting seems decent here. The plot is really good so far, it’s well paced and the cinematography looks quite natural in most scenes. IMO, this drama is way better than many costume dramas this year with higher mdl ratings. Weird..

Precisely what I thought. the FL is such a lovebrain, it’s like all she thinks about is the ML. She doesn’t seem to have any ambition or aspiration for herself. She’s so hung up on a guy she met for a short time as a kid.. I find it so weird. Hopefully the drama shows some character development for the FL.

Precisely what I thought! Why make such a dumb decision to face the perpetrator alone without waiting for YC. Hopefully there’s more to it when the new ep comes out, otherwise its so out of character for someone supposedly so smart

PSA: there’s an additional post credit scene at the end of ep 40. I nearly missed it. I love the ending, beautifully done.

Gosh, I’m on ep 22 and song yiting is so annoying. Drugging someone she supposedly loves is a big no-no despite her reasons. And she persistently harassing Li Shiliu despite him saying no is the same as Nan Rui persistently harassing her despite her rejections. Imagine if the roles were reversed and it was Nan Rui who was drugging her to force her hand?! I’m so annoyed.

Liu lang is so annoying omg, just like his elder sister Shen Yi from season 1.

What’s with the rating?? I haven’t watched yet but based on some comments below, the first few episodes seem good

The past Siling changed resulted in a different timeline where xjs didn’t become the villain because his family didn’t die, and Siling’s son didn’t die and she didn’t suffer in the mortal world cause there’s no misunderstanding between her and bjs. But in her own original timeline, nothing has changed.. although she eventually got her HE with bjs at the end when the goddess of time revived him.

My thoughts on the ending -
