OMG same, Love O2O made no sense to me (and yes WHY did they fall in love ??? cuz they are pretty cutouts? lol),…
LOL A lot of these popular Kdramas are very Bollywood-esque, I die a little inside watching them T__T
Yep, they expect the looks and star power of their actors + the high quality production to carry the drama basically. It works initially but as you watch, the luxury fades and it just ends up being boring and mediocre af This is why these days I avoid a lot of shows jam packed with Korean A-listers (Moving is the only exception of recent times tbh, that show was amazing).
YES! That's what I mean. Jdramas have this organic, cosy, homely production feel to it, it's soothing af (unless it's one of those darker dramas) ESP Asadoras, those shows are like soooo soothing. I used to watch asadoras before sleeping because they calmed me down LOL Jdramas in general also have really good, unique writing which is why a lot of countries borrows their formulas.
Kleeun Cheewit is the Thai ver of Secret right? You mean that drama with Jisung and Hwang Jung Eum? I loved that drama. I actually think Penthouse was also makjang done right, it was ridiculous over the top but it was done right. It got worse after S1 though, so sad.
The scene with Tae Min and Tae Ho was my favorite. Tae Min resents the fact that Tae Ho's father allowed Tae Ho…
Bingo. I agree fully. I believe the same. I hope the writer doesn't force Taemin into the typical villain role in future episodes and explores these nuances instead. Allowing him to develop out of this chokehold properly. Taemin and Hyosim are similar people, both have immense loyalty toward their family and high sense of duty to the point that they sacrifice their own happiness for it so they make a terrible couple tbh Hopefully Taemin wakes up and sees it and instead finds someone suitable for him.
I'm gonna keep watching as well because I really like Hajoon here but if they butcher the characters I might drop it just like TRHC.
What's meant to happen will happen. I'm not surprised the accident happened. I feel so bad for Eungyeol though. He has lived all his life in regret over the fire accident which is why he forced himself to sacrifice his own choice for his parents and now this.
On another note, I wish the writer spent some minutes showcasing Chungah's interaction with her father after the misunderstanding between them got cleared up. But oh well looks like we'll get it next episode.
The plot is not my cup of tea tbh I'm so awfully tired of revenge dramas due to the influx of those we've had this past 2-3 years. But I'm very excited to watch Kyungsoo play a villainous role. Oh he'd suit it so well esp with his death stare.

YangYang's acting is just... non-existent. He's popular because he's attractive and nothing else. Sorry not sorry XD and no he hasn't improved.
I watched DotS fully but yes it was underwhelming as hell. Goblin is just bad as well imo IDK but I feel like they make these drama as banal as possible and most of the episodes feel like fillers to me.
I don't watch a lot of Jdramas in general but the few ones I've watched, I really like the ambiance of Jdramas. They feel cosy? Compared to Kdramas.

omg exactly! Love O2O was SO BORING and SO CRINGE. I died a little inside whenever I saw the girls screamign and crying over Yangyang. The writing wasn't my only problem with it, the acting was non-existent. The show was basically eye candy (the only one doing actual acting as Bai Yu) and nothing else.
CLOY had me CRINGING SO HARD. It was literally Bollywood movie in Kdrama format and as an Indian who watches Kdrama to escape from Bollywood, I died when I watched it.
Vincenzo had top notch acting but I got so bored that I dropped it and BoF was just... I wanted to punch every single chr including the FL (only one I liked was Kim Soeun's character).
I could name so many other super uber popular dramas I absolutely disliked or outright hated LOL
These are the Kdramas rated 9+ between 2022-till now.

There are 7 dramas.
Also just because you don't like a drama doesn't mean it deserves to rated lower than you think.
