Just my opinion I feel "kong ming" charcter look Abit tad old to be paired with Luo Jin sang seeing that they have abit of romance between them so it was hard for me to see their part.

@Tibbs Couldn't agree more on all characters using their own voices I totally hate it when they dubbed this actors and actress when they sound so much better with their own voices! If someone can give me an enligtment why Chinese drama like doing dubbing? Is it cause of the diff dialect?

@RedLotusPavillion My take on his character is I don't hate him but I feel frustrated/annoyed at him mainly he could handle the situation better by fulfilling the 3 promises made by pan er. Even so he couldn't fulfill it he could have just face forwardly and tell pan er that he couldn't fullfill due to certain circumstances. Him listening to his steward uncle de was a no no especially the part where pan er, sanniang and yinzhang almost had to strip of their clothes due to those douchebag officers. For me it would have been better he helped pan er together to fulfill the 3 promises. I know his position as an scholar was not stable yet so I kind of understand him but at the same time not basically he was being coward towards his action.

My only wish here is writer wouldn't make him the villain cause I have a feeling this just the start of it for him! Nevertheless I enjoy watching the growth of each character be it good/bad.
