Oh I'm sure Liu Yan has wanted to kill them a long time ago, he just finally snapped in today's ep which we are able to see on screen. And I understand that how it happened is jarring. I am able to rationalise it because I read the novel, not thinking about those who didn't do so.
Okay I'm clearly in the minority here but this drama is taking me to my wit's end. In the beginning, the storyline…
I don't know if you read the novel. But on reading your comment, I started to think back to how the villains were dispsosed of. It was mostly quick in the novel as well, apart from the ones they went to war with. What happened to Liangyas's ruler also happened in the novel, but it was another character. Even the last biggest villains [Liu Yan and Lady Yulou] who tried to escape were caught quickly enough and killed. The death of FL's uncle in the novel was quite pathetic as well. So, they're not completely off the mark, lol.
I am on ep 17. I like a smart FL but it was disappointing when she didn't try to get control of the horse or jump…
I think that would have been out of character for her. She has not been presented as someone athletic from the very beginning, for her to just suddenly develop that attribute would probably be jarring.
I already knew WY was going to complete the painting with XQ's face, but I was still screaming "NO NO NO, don't do it." at my screen. π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ Trouble is coming.
Is it XQ? He says he doesnβt like her. Is he attracted to her but hates that sheβs a qiao? If so, does he…
It's just a painting without a face for now because he says there is no goddess in his heart. But Wei Yan will also eventually fall for XQ. He will complete the painting with her face and Wei Shao will see it.
He doesn't necessarily want to split WS and XQ up, but he likes his cousin's wife, he couldn't help himself.
I don't blame him for catching feelings, XQ is beautiful inside and out, who wouldn't fall for her?
Looking at that painting WY made, even without a face yet, it is sensual. Imagine Wei Shao seeing that after he adds Xiao Qiao's face. He's going to be boiling mad. π¬π¬π¬π¬
Uhhh, according to the novel? They did a lot of that in the novel. The "no kiss" thing stemmed from a rumour the lead actor started himself. We still don't know if he was joking or not.
This is a question about Liu Yu Ning. This is not a critique of his acting or his charisma. I have seen him in…
I actually think he had to gain a little bit of weight for this role as Wei Shao. You can see his face is fuller here. But currently, he looks very slim with a more angular face.
Spoiler about how Da Qiao and Bi Zhi's story will end...π
Someone mentioned this earlier in the comments a few weeks before the drama aired. I was in disbelief and I still am. The screenwriter can't be that cruel right? I didn't believe it before, but now that they've changed a lot of things in the drama, I'm scared.
Now that I've read the novel, I must join persons who are dissatisfied with the turn the screenwriting has taken,…
Honestly??? I wish they had kept the passionate aspect of Wei Shao [There are surely ways to do it without making it explicit]. Oh, he's passionate about his work with the canal, fighting, his family, the people, we can see that. But I wish they didn't go the clueless man route when it comes to his wife. I want him to KNOW his wife is interested in him and to return that interest even if it is just physical desire for now.
I'm also thinking, could it be that we're interpreting him wrong in the drama. Because I have a feeling he knows she likes him and he likes her too, but he's fighting it because of the family feud. Which is why he asks his cousin that question in the upcoming episode.

She is so hilariously dramatic.

Hence, we were able to get the abs as a result, lol.

But still, I WANT THE PASSION!!!!!!!
