Interesting. I thought all phones nowadays had an emergency function that worked off the pass lock. I personally don’t know anyone who doesn’t have a passcode. In any case, it’s a trope that keeps showing in many series (BL or not) to advance the plot. See Sky in your Heart for instance. That’s why I called it a cliche.

So far Poppy has taken other guys’ girlfriends in two series airing *at the same time*. He’s BL’s Don Juan. In an unrelated note, we get to see the most repeated cliche in TV dramas yet again: the no-password cellphone!

By now, I have seen 100 times more people blacking out and totally forgetting who they shagged or kissed when they were drunk in BL series than in real life.

From what I’ve read on this comments section, some people might be mistaking the actors with the characters when they criticize the acting. (It’s also a bit rich considering the amount of bad acting in BL series…) It’s melodrama. Vee is supposed to be this more quiet, rough kind of character who doesn’t show his emotions easily; besides, he’s totally confused about the situation. Mark is the kind of guy who lashes out and throws a tantrum as a mechanism of defense; he’s fragile and doesn’t wanna show. They’re both flawed and messy. Yin and War are doing exactly what the characters (and definitely the director) are asking for. The whole market sequence was great. Perth is also very good btw, different from her Why R U twee act. And c’mon, folks, this is no Golden Blood!

They’re co-producing and/or distributing (the way they did with My Ride, I guess). It’s not playing on their channel but it’s got their label.

I didn’t expect GMMTV to embrace the soft-porn aesthetics wholeheartedly: the music! the lighting!! The overacting!!! That last line in the cliffhanger!!!! It’s decent trash and we’re here for it. More Samantha, please. Ton’s acting is fearless — someone commented here that he didn’t seem to be enjoying the bondage but I’m pretty sure there was a brief shot of him smiling during the whipping. Remember the meme-worth last line, “I’m not a masochist, am I?”!!!

Nah, worry not. I’m pretty sure we’ll have a happy ending.

This is one of those very rare cases of sequel > original. You don’t need to have watched the first series to enjoy it. Plus, all the characters are endearing and it’s possible to empathize with every single one of them.

This is as charming as it gets.

Looking good. I really hope it’s not like Mr. Unlucky…: a first-episode kiss and a seven-episode anticlimax.
