To those who are curious, as far as I know, there are two series in MDL that have comments count exceeding Bad…
Note also that The Long Ballad is not a BL series.
Immortality is based on an extremely popular novel (2HA) that was very explicit in its BL portrayal, but the series version, at best, if it ever airs, it will be a bromance or less at most.
To those who are curious, as far as I know, there are two series in MDL that have comments count exceeding Bad Buddy at the moment:
1. Immortality (which hasn't aired yet, and may never air, depending on situation in China) It has 35,954 comments as of now.
2. The Long Ballad (which aired in early to mid 2021) and has a rating of 8.7 in MDL. It has 34,727 comments as of now.
The Long Ballad was the most commented until Immortality caught up to it around early December 2021 (if I remember correctly).
For your info, when the first episode of Bad Buddy aired in end October 2021, we had less than 2,000 comments back then. The earlier comments were building up slowly from when the very first unofficial trailer was out in December 2020.
(And we surpassed The Untamed's 16,146 comments (now 16,162) just about a week ago.)
How i wish ohmnanon would play more like a "love team" that plays different BL series together. I know my wishful…
Yes, not to worry, we will probably see at the very least a special episode or even a sequel for Bad Buddy. And we will see more projects with them as the BL couple lead.
How not so when their chemistry simply just surpasses all of GMM's pillars?

Doesn't your chart show viewership going mostly DOWN, overall from 10.5M to 6.5M? I don't get it.
The total viewership appears to be down towards the later episodes because they are released more recently. A higher total viewership of the earlier episodes in fact is a sign that more people are rewatching/watching those episodes.
YouTube does not limit the number of views per user/IP address. A person can rewatch a video as many times as they want, and this will be reflected in the numbers.
A more accurate representation of how popular each episodes are when compared to each other will need at least a few months after all the episodes have aired. Because by then most people will have watched most/all the episodes and parts.
Okay.. Pran bashing again? What is happening? The balcony scene and the ep 9 oishhi drink scene is proof enough…
Yes exactly, peeling an onion is what I always said about those series that have these layers of complexities about them (although the plot is also simple at the same time).
Bad Buddy did it really well, and that's part of the reason why I love it so much.

And as mentioned below, not just the numbers but the quality of each comments is what truly matters.
Happy New Year from Ohm and Nanon! They are just so adorable! Can't stop watching them on loop :D

Hope that answers your question.
Pran, who is better connected and attuned to his feelings, realised this more clearly early on.
Hence, Happy Bad Buddy day everyone! But sorry no new episode for us today. Ohm already 'cried' on our behalf in his video with Nanon earlier on :D
(Anyway, comment #17500)
