He just needs to pick better scripts. Which I think is becoming difficult for everyone. I think Kdramas in general are becoming bad. Streaming platforms are ruining Kdramas. "Destined with you" was great though.
On Episode 11: The mother's tears and spiel about why she abandoned she gave away her hearing impaired daughter was infuriating. That scene with her and the female lead was supposed to redeem her, I think. This entire episode was. Instead, she came of as even worse, to me.
Regarding episode 9: Employments contracts with no base salary are a recipe for exploitation. The fact that Yullim's restructuring includes this clause for partners is a red flag.
Did the 12 episode format ruin this K-drama? All these characters are so light-touch. The fat-suit character's monologue about Yun Soek Hun was meant to fill gaps about his upstanding character. But that background should have been created through the story itself. The monologue was a shortcut.
"Destined with you" was great though.
Also, how are they going to tell this story well in only 9 episodes???
