NO. Sorry. Just no . That doesn't get a pass. Especially when these fits of rage go on forever and hers are unjustifiably…
ππ»βΊοΈ. I agree; I do learn more about life/history through watching dramas, even if they are fictional or historically fictional. Books are good, but dramas are easier! π
I think this drama deserves at least a 7/10. I'd personally give it a 7.5 thats the highest i can give , 6.8 feels…
If you are beginning to like Wang Churan and like comedy or light-hearted rom-coms may I suggest trying "Love has Fireworks" (not great but entertaining enough) and "How dare you?" (Very slap-stick funny). Neither of them are intellectually stimulating but at least it won't drain audiences as much.

hahaha. As usual, as candid as ever. π€£βΊοΈππ» In this case, I agree with you. I am not saying that RSS's (and mother's) actions are remotely justified. I concur that there is no way to rationalise her behaviour.
My comment above was just a reflection on all the times I chose the wrong words or reacted badly in certain situations. Thankfully, my reactions were nowhere near as cruel/drastic as hers. And a fit of rage was exactly that - momentary. ππ» But, admittedly, this drama has made me want to think thrice before I react. The drama has somehow provided me a "how NOT to behave" manual. π₯°
BTW, I rather liked the fact that MRQY and RSS started sharing information with one another, started thinking what was best for Le'An and that RSS had a 'tiny' redeeming arc of remembering how MRQY saved her time and time again.
As someone who has enjoyed both ML and FML's previous performances, as well as someone who is FRUSTRATINGLY ENJOYING this drama, I would like to speak my mind here. I am bracing myself for both positive support and negative judgment. Honestly speaking, I have found the debates and views expressed in this commentary section to be a value-add to watching the series.
After contemplating the dialogue in the drama and digesting some of the so-called 'haters' comments, I can empathise with their need to vent their vexation. Parts of the plot have been increasingly incredulous and ridiculous. The scriptwriters, or perhaps a poor translation, may have used inappropriate words to convey the characters' emotions. Equally, as I remarked earlier, the continued polar behaviour of many characters is beyond believable.
However, (yes, there is a however), who has never said the wrong thing or used the wrong words to express their inner feelings when they have lost absolute control of their emotions? Yes, the characters are truly and exasperatingly exaggerating the extreme symptoms of very negative and toxic people. I think this is ONE of the MANY reasons people find it frustrating; in addition to the AI and weird directing and camera work.
My point is, upon reflecting on all the exaggerated actions and scripts, if we amplify some of our own actions and arguments during our own fits of rage by xNNNN, we may be able to empathise with the characters a bit more. It's easier to judge other characters/people when we are only bystanders/3rd parties watching from the outside with rational thinking.
This is but one of the many issues with the drama that I am trying to come to terms with.
Hope this brain fart makes it a bit less frustrating for other watchers out there!
"You're nothing but a sperm donor" π€£In real life tho, does it really matter who's the father if they…
Albeit this is only from an amateur's perspective, I believe that there would be a civil case viable for a court hearing if this was a real life scenario (in today's and age).
Given he was unaware of her pregnancy and was out of the country (fighting a war in particular) there could be certain allowance for visitation rights etc. However, I doubt that he could fight for custodian rights.
Nevertheless, the backdrop of this drama was in a completely different and far more extreme era. Therefore, the above concept (mine) is merely brain farting... haha.. good for laughs though!
Okay, I might sound completely out of my mind... but this drama has really pushed me to that point. At this stage,…

I laughed so much when you said, "... honestly, this family is exhausting."
Again, I reiterate that I am still enjoying this drama very much, but I concur with your view of "... this drama has really pushed me to that point". But isn't that an earmark of a good drama? It actually affects our emotions to a certain point, to the point that it is frustrating to watch yet so entertaining that we always come back for more? It's not like most audiences are masochistic! ππ€£ππ€£
Having said that, I do need to find something more light-hearted to read or watch afterwards to help moderate my mood again.
ππ» to the actors and actresses here. They keep us coming back for more.
uhh i been waiting for this drama to come out since forever and canβt wait to watch but whatβs going on with…
Quite honestly, I have been enjoying it quite a lot, but that's because I like both the ML and FML. There are some contradictory points along the way; the characters are somewhat extreme to the point that it's "overdone" (pun intended π). I found the acting to be quite nicely executed in most areas, but this is because of their complex backstories.
BTW, the discussion above " β€ Overdo Background Story & Plot Explained (Murong Qingyi, Ren Susu Revenge) In Updating..." by CloudA makes for an interesting read to help you see things from someone else's perspective. However, the analysis is thoroughly conducted. Therefore, there are spoilers everywhere.
The rating is undeserved. 6.9 is rather low.
I would advise you to watch it for a few episodes and then, if it's not your cup of tea, make your decision. Best wishes!
If you wanna watch something light hearted then watch Comedy like Chicken Nuggets not Mystery genre. A lot of…
Thank you.
Also, I respect any fan who sticks with her through thick or thin. This takes more than someone like me. From what I've seen so far, I think the plot is captivating.

I finished the drama because of Princess Agents, but I delayed finishing it for 2 weeks because, after ep 33, it became painful to watch.
The ending felt sloppy and was very painful to watch. Still gave it a shaking 7 stars.

I think she is an excellent star.
I will stop here on this topic.
