I havenât seen the show yet, so I donât know⊠but allow me to ask, are Eric and Yoon really âadvancedâ enough to be mentors on a survival show? I mean, it always has been senior kpop idols with experience in more than one field (like Solji in Boys Planet for example) or who trained their âspecialtyâ long or professionally before becoming an idol (like The8 from seventeen, he was a dance mentor in a Chinese survival show). I like them both and I mean no hate, just that they donât feel like authorities, mentors enough⊠as I said I havenât seen the show yet, so maybe I am wrong. Iâm just afraid that they may be âtoo greenâ in this field still, I donât know.
this drama tricked me, promising fun demon hunting adventure and instead I am watching one sad love story after another⊠though I am not complaining.
Do you remember who the actor is? if you remember it please let me know. I'm looking for a plot like this. đ€
I found it! I think itâs called âOh My Generalâ itâs a 2017 drama with Peter Sheng in main role. I remember it was funny but the production was a bit worse than recent dramas. It has 60 episodes, 45 minutes each.
Iâm cracking up so bad right now haha in ep6 WX and ZYZ are talking so emotionally to each other and then thereâs ZYC just sitting/standing there, not knowing what to do with himself, experiencing moral dilemma, anger and panic at the same time lol
Just started watching so I donât know yet if this series is good or not. But I like the settings and really love the fact that all the âmagicalâ (demons, guys who hunt demons, etc) characters have such a fancy hair/hair accessories (especially the demons), I donât know, it just fits them really well!
Nooo I hate when supernatural characters lose their powers mid-series⊠I hope she gains them back! I want to see more of the cool, cold blooded Justitia beat up bad people and other demons đ And I hope they wonât have her trade her powers in exchange for something (like for staying with Da On on earth) later on too, that would be kinda⊠lame? Idk (I feel like thatâs an a bit overused trope in kdramas where one lover is a supernatural being, why the human canât have a cool, magical etc lover??)
by the way, while not totally original (as the general idea of guardian angels being secretly among humans is not only unique to this drama), I think revealing that granny as a sort of angel is a genius move, it really adds to the already rich lore of hell and heaven, demons (and angels apparently) that this drama is establishing.
The one thing that I am kinda angry about in this show, and that really irks me about Bit Na/Justitiaâs character…
Also, I know that the issue kind of resolved on its own anyway, I just wanted to point out what irritated me, and let my thoughts/frustrations free so that I can enjoy the rest of the show. I really like this drama so far and Iâm getting more invested in it with every episode. I like how they chose to interpret the whole hell and demon thing, I even like the romance part so far (saying this, because I often donât). And Kim Jaeyoung does a great job at crying. Canât wait till next week!
The one thing that I am kinda angry about in this show, and that really irks me about Bit Na/Justitiaâs character is that she wouldnât just explain things a bit to Da On when he accuses her for the murders/treats her like a person who committed the crimes (note that she isnât in fact a person, just wearing a humanâs âcostumeâ as a punishment). She doesnât seem to care about revealing other information about demons/hell to him (like about satan in episode 5? Or 4? I donât remember) so why wouldnât she just tell him something like âhey, Iâm not killing these people just because. This is my job, I am a demon (which he already knows and believes) sent to punish the killers and bring their souls to hell. I too have a boss you know. And it's something beyond your human law, my judgment is final.â etc. It wouldn't have to be completely true, just true enough to explain why she does it, and altered enough to make it more relatable/understandable without disclosing, like her weaknesses etc. Itâs not like sheâd have to tell him that sheâs doing that as a punishment (she doesnât seem to want to share this information if she doesn't have to, and I understand), itâd be completely fine to just tell him a bit more clearly like this, why sheâs doing that and why he "canât" arrest her (because well, he actually can, technically. Human world, human rules, I guess?). Itâs not like it would 100% change Da Onâs approach to this situation, maybe he wouldnât have changed at all. Itâs just that I feel like she easily could have articulated it and it wouldnât be bad for the plot at all. Itâd feel real, more logical, because why wouldnât she do that? Her, not trying to tame him somehow and just saying things like âshut upâ or trying to lead their conversations elsewhere clearly doesnât work anymore, and doesnât help her cause. And it really irks me because itâs just about saying a few words out loud, and then itâd only depend on Da On, if he believes it or ignores it. The outcome doesnât matter, the plot could/should go in the same direction as it does now. But it wouldnât be a logical problem on Bit Na/Justitiaâs end anymore. âŠ.thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
I can see where this story is going. I hope they don't change Justitia too much and make her a saint. This show…
Agreed! I love the sudden portion of violence this drama delivers while depicting her punishments, it creates a nice contrast with the either witty/humorous or more serious part of the drama. And her character is great so I hope that although she will experience emotion, sheâll stay as she is temperament-wise etc
Iâve seen it but I donât remember the titleâŠ

me: *heavily sobbing* yes it is
No but seriously, that storyline was so lovely and so sad.
