Maybe because of the comments emphasizing how nice the plot twist was, i was able to guess the plot twist from the start of the movie. I guess that reduced how enjoyable i going this movie.
That detective should have also died. It's unfair that he gets to live after causing the deaths of both his partners. I get why he did what he did, but he's very reckless with the lives of his partners.
That's because the actor is cute and is handling his character without a flaw. If it was someone else and ugly,…
I don't usually comment on people's looks but he just looks so slapable especially when he makes that dreadful "pity-me" face. I always skip all those scenes with him acting all pitiful like he's some kind of angel that was wrongfully accused. And his makeup looks awful, Jiang Jingrui also usually has caky makeup but he has better features, so it's more tolerable.
As an avid drama watcher, I should've known that they were raising a death flag when Jiang Li was talking about what she would do for Tong'er in the future. How could they harm our little Tong'er, she is the kindest and most loyal characterðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Despite the low rating, i decided to give this a chance because of how long I've been expecting this and because most of the negative comments were just about the "westernization" of the drama, and I'm glad I did. At first glance it seems like your typical ultra-rich vs working class school bullying drama, but it's more than that. The thing I really liked was that there was actual remorse and repentance and desire for self-improvement which your hardly find in dramas of this same genre. It's a good binge overall.
If you're expecting any bad ass revenge in this, you're going to be thoroughly disappointed. Joe is a fool in love, not even death and rebirth can change it. Even without his dire financial situation, he would've still found a way to sashay his ass back to Ming.
IMO Ming is a worse red flag than Vegas. Vegas was a violent gangster, hence it was not surprising when he did some of the crazy things he did. But Ming is a guy from an extremely wealthy and relatively caring family, him doing what he did is psychopathic. I truly don't want them to end up together, but 😪 I just know they will. I just hope they'll make him suffer a lot, but 😪😪😪, I suspect they won't. Joe's way too soft to let Ming suffer, him decisively kicking out Ming was already a huge surprise.
If there's a season 2, it's going to be even more chaotic and interesting.
