Sorry no Spoilers but guess the ending's a .....

Well, this was one of the first dramas I've seen that is a Chinese historical genre related and for a fact I had never even thought that I would be so interested in the plot and the storyline so much. It had various elements highlighted such as how a woman though in a period where women were overlooked by men in terms of strength, talent, efforts and intelligence takes upon herself to find her birth secrets and the truth for her abandonment as she was an infant and grows into a powerful woman who is independent and depends on herself to pass through all hardships.
The drama is a fantastical romantic historical dramas portraying equal importance on both men and women roles. Both the lead characters were acted out well as well as the cast has done justice to the piece. Don't worry about the ending 'cause most of the dramas I watch are the happy ones. To speak the truth this drama was quite lengthy and at a point felt like it was a waste of time and that the writer was just making ways to make it lengthy but it was quite enjoyable though.
I do recommend this drama very much, both the leads are my favorite especially (Yang Mi) and it is a piece that one can binge watch along with their friends...

THE TITLE TAKES LEAD!

The title of this drama couldn't be any more perfect!

When normally we watch Thai dramas, we all know that there'll either be a charming-kind lead, an evil villain, extreme jealousy, heartbreaking plots, wholesome scenes etc. I, for one, watch Thai dramas at times to release my frustration or am in a dramatic mood. But when I started watching this drama, for fun, it ended up being the perfect combination of all. Each character portrayed by the actors and actresses was something understandable and reasonable. Nothing felt too extreme, it was just the right kind of Thai spice. We can understand why they had to go to those lengths and why they had thought of doing so. The plot was consistent, it flowed in such a way we could understand what was happening and why it was so. (Throughout this drama I had not skipped or fast-forwarded a scene. )

Title:
When talking about the title, they named it BAD ROMEO which couldn't be more perfect. We all know the Romeo and Juliet Shakespearean story, where we see the multiple deaths and heartbreaks behind their innocent but tragic teen-love story. This drama was kind of similar. The love of the leads resulted in many things they, later on, felt regretful about and many heartbreaks that can't be healed over time. It's a drama that portrays their undying flame which started in their youth, prolongs and continues for 7 years. the drama shows how it changed the trajectory of their lives and it affected everyone.

Plot & Acting:
The female lead wants to get away from her regular life so she asks her best friend to replace her for a few days. Within those few days, the FL goes through a lot and meets the male lead. They had a drunken night which resulted in her pregnancy. From there onwards, the main plot starts to unravel. The first few episodes we view of were wholesome. They were about their meeting and how they plan their life, the lead's romance and chemistry were simply beautiful. ( Mario and Yaya are such good actors, their acting in this drama moved me to tears and was exceptional! )Then later on as the plot starts to move forward, they go through multiple misunderstandings, hardships, heartbreaks and shocking secrets. It was a regular Thai drama but had just the right amount of everything. And while we are on the topic of acting, I have to say the villains( Kla's mother and Khim's father) of this drama were amazing. The supporting characters, second leads and everyone else's acting and their understanding and portrayal of their characters were really good.

Conclusion:
Overall this drama was a hidden gem and something I enjoyed. The acting complemented the great script and of course, the cinematography was superb too! Every moment of this show was enjoyable and entertaining.

I would most definitely recommend this to all those looking for a good romantic drama, who enjoy melodrama and are looking for a happy ending.
(note: the last episode is really cute!)

First thoughts...

Well, you all may think I wrote this review too fast or judged it too quick but I just had to give out my thoughts.
I think its first impression on me was actually quite good. I kinda like all dramas with gaming involved (like Love O2O or Go Go Squid or Cross Fire) as I find them thrilling and also because its kinda my hobby.
The opening ost kinda gave me a feeling similar to the kind you find when watching an American series and felt nice to see and hear something different in Chinese dramas for a change.
The music was the first thing that drew me towards this drama, it kinda gave me a feeling of satisfaction for some reason(maybe because the singer's voice was good..^_^) and the drama also had few comedic factors(characters) which is quite enjoyable. It's a normal rom-com genre drama and a bit cliche. If you hadn't watched other Chinese dramas of same type or sort then I think you will enjoy it.
I also found out that the ML's(Lin Yi) acting has improved a lot from his previous(1st) drama 'Put Your Head On My Shoulder' and I kinda like this drama more than his recent works from the 'The Blessed Girl'. I found this drama having many similar points from Love O2O in the sense the ML is in University, lives in a dorm, has good relation with his dorm mates, more intelligent than them(more skilled), ML & FL is popular, male like female first and the gaming and also similar to cross fire as the characters actually play the game kind of like a virtual game in the episodes though its not actually virtual(if that makes sense....)
I will definitely recommend this drama for watching and for rewatching but again it totally depends on your preference.

A bickering beginning

I took up this drama as it was said to be entertainment industry-related and also involves food...and it does! I had fun watching the ML (whose character is really cute) and the FL (who is a little persuasive) bicker throughout the episodes and how the plot started to evolve into their love story.
I never watched any of the main leads' dramas so I had no thoughts on their acting, this was my first and I find it quite good, all their actions and their performances including the support roles. I especially liked the relationship between the ML and his nephew(this boy is adorable) it was heartwarming and really adorable.
There was a scene where the ML sang which was a very unique performance, something I have never seen(more like an edited or a short version of an imitation of a Kpop idol), and just got me laughing. I also find the second ML (Ran Xu)'s performance has improved quite a lot from his previous drama 'Love is Sweet' and I'm happy he got a good platform to perform.
The story is about a typical rich male falling in love with a poor female plot and a famous person falling for an ordinary person. It had many similarities with the drama 'Brightest Star in the Sky' such as the female lead becomes an artist manager for the ML, the male is really popular, second lead syndrome, both the love interests are successful, the FL helps and stays by the ML through the hardest points in his life, stories revolve around the entertainment industry, and the male is a very kind person from within.

I recommend watching it of you're interested in such a types of drama!!
