I’ve enjoyed this so much. The plot progression hits a sweet spot. If you enjoy youth dramas, like 2521, or twinkling watermelon, I think this would be just right for you as well. The characters are healthy and their dynamics are fun! I came with no expectations but gained a new favourite movie💌

No one said she’s ugly appearance wise, but having a straight hair is more aligned with the beauty standard/ it’s not very common in korea to naturally have curly hair. Also perms are more common in ahjumas and older country side women in general. I don’t think the movie is about “getting prettier”, like princess diaries for example. I’ve also outgrown this genre, and I think it’s outdated now in general. The guy she’s interested in didn’t exactly say that he doesn’t like her curly hair, it’s probably just an insecurity she had since people keep pointing it out, so she connected getting her hair permed to being more romantically acceptable. Anyways, it does get better, and the plot is fun and lighthearted. If you’re not interested then you don’t have to watch it, but if that’s what stopped you, I think you should keep going.
They should have at least shown how the contestants are doing after getting out from the show.
They’re bound to a contract, and what’s after the show is their personal life. Most of these couples don’t work, but the ones that work actually works very well. If you follow them on ig, you’d be able to tell if they carried on with the relationship or not
I’m really enjoying the plot, idk what yall are about. I get that some of you are frustrated with certain developments, like how they would allow Yeomhwa to act the way she does. And while I do find that a bit frustrating too, that’s just how plot works.
A good plot needs conflict. Without a villain, or the loopholes that let the villain operate, the story would be flat — no complexity or depth. The chaos and entanglements are what make the event resolution satisfying. Every character, the frustrating and the ones that dies, plays a role in adding depth, pushing the narrative, and supporting the leads.
Yall might disagree with me but i think bong su actually has a personality the ML was kinda plain
He might have not had the bubbly personality, but he delivered the role of a miserable boy who was chased by bad luck. I think Cho Youngwoo is brilliant for delivering the contrast in both characters
