I liked shifu Zhaoyou's faith on TTJ having good deep inside him and renaming him CJM and treating him well, included was a nice wadrobe. LOL 👖👕👗👘🥻👔
Also the brotherly bond and interaction between GYJW and CJM in the immortal arc. It should have been like so in their first lives together if things were not so out of whack due to ADG's evil plan to make TTJ suffer.
The loyalty of bumbling Nian Bai Yu who means well but says the darndest things that gives his boss heart attacks.
And Sang Jiu and Sang You's good relationship. Sang You is such a good brother to check in on his sister so frequently. And warning that punk MingYe not to mess with his sister.
And a special shoutout the couple that did not make it, Jing Mie & SiYing, they would have been a cute couple working together. Jing Mie is such a big mush despite his evil and bad guy outer shell. Who carries around straw dolls of their beloved? LOL Si Ying needs glasses, how did she not see it? Too blinded by ADG's handsomeness probably.

Which characters did you like in LYF S1, I liked XiaoYao, Jing and XiangLiu and Chishui Feng Long was kinda adorable too. Actually all the characters were ok for me except for Hou, Jing's older brother. Gosh...I hated that character. I was pleasantly surprised by Weiwei's portrayal of Jing. I thought he was a good looking chap in TTEOTM, but after LYF...WOW, he got upgraded to being one of my favourite actors. 😍

I guess the drama has to balance novel adaption, with sponsorships and time limit of the drama. So which is why at the end of the day, I think storyline, story telling is the most important. Followed by getting the correct person for the role.
As of today, I cannot see anyone else as Tushan Jing other than Deng Wei. He is perfection as Tushan Jing! 🦊😍

They did major editing for LYF. It seems that they deviated a bit too much from the book, the character building was a miss especially so in S2, which was a hot mess. You did not miss anything. LOL

I think dramas are for entertainment, so tropes do not bother me too much. To me the most important thing is that the story is well told and makes sense. Reverse harem, damsel in distress, love triangles etc etc can be a very good story if well told. Just entertain me after a long day. LOL 🤪
