I think once calmed down from the angst and ugly crying, the ending is indeed not so bad after all. And with the understanding that the series had to be condensed into 40 episodes and somehow made it out for screening despite all the censorship stuff brewing in the background. Man, I am just grateful to have set eyes on this masterpiece! 💗👀💗
And in my heart I know TTJ will be restored to LSS in the future. Considering that TTJ wandered through the Ruo River for 500 years looking for YXW, suffering burns and mental torment, it is fair she waits 500 years for him to be restored? No? LOL Plus in LSS's case, she has Zimi for company and gets to move around freely in a beautifully restored world, so not too bad other than missing TTJ very badly. 🙂 Hey, absence makes the heart grow fonder right? Maybe Zimi can get a little brother or sister soon after her parents move back to the Demom Abyss?? LOL 😜😜
But I guess we all would have much loved to see the above rather than know it in our hearts. Youku also probably heard our cries of INJUSTICE when they admitted that they could have done a better job on the ending. So I guess it is a closure of sorts for TTEOTM fans?

One of the scenes being...JJ not being able to sleep well after moving out of YS's rented apartment and realises that she prefers the demon's liar as it is nicer and more comfortable and she sleeps well there. Surprise, not surprised. 😂🤣 Of course she would sleep better in the demon's domain.
