They broke down SYS and RR's family life into several little episodes:
I want to see SYS and RR draw lots for the day to see who got the apprentice card. And then the one who got it groaning with disappointment. LOL It would have been so cute to see RR covered in chicken feathers while cleaning the chicken coop and SYS playing his qin telling her she missed a spot.🤪🪶
The antics of their kids, maybe riding Vermillion bird and Xiao Bai and then falling into the pond or something. RR thinking she misplaced her youngest because when she turned away, he crawled away to look for his dad. Yeah, I was thinking the youngest might be super sticky to SYS because if SYS was mostly drawing the apprentice card lot, that means he carried the youngest a lot more than RR. So baby is gonna be sticky to daddy except when it's milk time. LOL🐅👦🏻👧🏻👶🏻🐦🔥
And show their teamwork, like RR coming over to help SYS when things get chaotic even if he drew the apprentice card. Like the food was burning up on the stove and their youngest started kicking up a fuss for milk and the older kid coming in with a scarp on the knee and Xiaobai coming over to complain the 2nd child, the girl bullied him. Chaos but awww...too cute! 🍼🫕🍲🩹
Last but not least, a scene where SYS carries RR off to receive "punishment" for her daytime antics on him. He did tell her she was in for it tonight right? 😜 Go go Xiao Shui!! 😏😆🤪
But all in all, I cannot complain about the ending. One of the more satisfying ones to date but it would be nice to have all these additional little scenes.

I too could not resist and sneaked a peek at the ending even though I already know what it is.
Dang! This was the ending I wanted to see in LYF. I am so happy Weiwei got it for his character SYS here.
