I think some actors really need constant acting lessons and classes, like am watching this drama and one thing…
In this drama, the acting of nearly all the characters doesn't fully convince me. It feels quite flat and surprisingly one-dimensional. The story is told without any flashy effects, and the narrative unfolds slowly, which is exactly why I would have expected more distinctive and expressive performances. In A Splendid Match, even the most minor episodic roles were memorable and brilliantly executed. It's probably largely the director's choice to go for such subtle expression, and the actors simply followed his vision. Personally, though, I'm quite disappointed with the acting in this drama. Ryan Cheng comes across the best, but he's playing a character that's very typical for him and delivers it rather routinely.
