Xu Kai speaks about the kissing scene with such technicality. Mei Zhuyu becomes a "sticky monster?"https://x.com/i/status/1963114026734399827
Sticky Monster as in Clingy, just like Houchi calls Qing mu a sticky bandage in ALP.
Those interviewing the drama CPs often ask about kissing scenes, idk to embarrass them?, Xu Kai has had many such instances and has learned to alleviate the awkwardness by talking over and adding anecdotal humor to the conversation by mentioning details while shooting those scenes.
I think it’s the machine translated subs. I just started 36 and if it doesn’t translate properly, I’m going…
Ig I know what you're talking about, the videos seem like they're on 1.2x speed or something. I watched it on the 2nd on a different site, the actual eps are not like that, they're proper. The quality of video and translation are not good on kisskh at the moment, I'm quite sure they'll be updated once all eps are officially aired.
Evil Infant:"Madam, Do you really want to kill me? You must be reluctant to part with me. Let it go. In the…
Without exaggerated changes, he had such a different look in his eyes, one could clearly see it was the fiend infant that took over. Marvellously done!
I so wanted and expected a badass aura loaded good vs. evil action scene with the intro music of the song "Reverse Blade" playing in the background to be there somewhere in the later eps, not the end battle, but anytime before that. There wasn't any 😭
DON'T READ AHEAD if you don't want spoilers from eps 35-38!
Omg! I just finished watching them 😭😭
Now I understand why comic relief was used immediately after the divorce scene and after the reveal of her condition, because the makers didn't want to make all the last eps tragic. First when Xuan Hui dies it was hard to watch and then when MZY sacrifices his life for WZ and the two realms is just too heartbreaking 💔 💔 and she had to do it herself because apart from MZY, only WZ could somehow wield the power of the Changxi weapon. In the last 10 or so episodes, you can really see why and how MZY is the lead.
Mei Si doesn't die, that was a false spoiler and his story continues with LTZ. Did they give a BL angle from Xuan Hui's side for Mei Si?? Coz he pauses everytime he's explaining Mei Si is my only...friend, and doesn't become a dragon because he's told he has wordly affairs in his heart, even gives up his life saving MS. But he also kept shipping MS and LTZ, so dunno, maybe that is also because he knows MS loves LTZ and finds his happiness in her. If yes, it was very subtle and wrapped, placed there only for those who want to assume it.
WZS died very abruptly, I wanted more of a consequential end for him. I also expected the final battle where the Changxi boy band and the Demon gang together fight against the final evil boss to last longer with more action scenes, but oh well they just used their powers together to deal with it. However finally, it was a HE for our leads with an endearing and heart-warming extra scene at the end which makes you feel warm and contented.
The novel was originally named something like "Mrs. Mei's Daily Life Doting on Her Husband", but in the show it was MZY who doted on his wife through out 😄
All the actors did an amazing job and XK & TXW were terrific! They showed so many facets of their acting so fitting for each aspect of their roles. Whoever says XK doesn't know how to act can go get their eyes checked, just the dying scene is enough to prove them wrong.
This show had everything you want to see in a drama; exceptional acting, extraordinary CGI and visuals, great direction, amazing BGM, good looking cast, wonderful backdrops and costumes, and it seemed to have all the different plots and tropes you can see in a drama's storyline - demons, comedy, mystery, romance, angst, history, horror, action, battles, tragedy, suspense, cultivation, investigation, tribulation, woman empowerment, jealousy, second and third CPs, love at first sight, lovers to enemies, amnesia, time travel, reversed roles, sacrifice, hinted BL (that's just a guess), incurable conditions that one lead hides from the other, role swaps etc. etc. and it was all so well-woven together that it still didn't feel like an overload. It did have it's flaws, but overall an awesome drama that you could rewatch a number of times, which in all fairness, deserves a rating of even 8.8-9.0 on MDL.

But they ended at a place that provides a perfect chance for a sequel.
