That's a problem with MDL rating system. It seems like a drama should at least have 8.5 rating for it to be a good drama which creates buzz on MDL. In people's minds underrated = should have made more buzz.
We are getting so many Namkoong Min and Lee Chung Ah stuff.
Well I haven't started watching this drama yet. So I don't know anything about their relationship, whether they are friends, enemies or past lovers, or siblings or non relation at all.
They had so much chemistry in Awaken ... but ............ One dollar lawyer ....... the ship sank before it even started sailing. This drama there's no ship I guess.
But don't stop watching it. Every episode was a happy episode in the drama. And the ending absolutely made sense. Bong Hwan was anyway an alien to Joseon. He can't possibly live there forever. I think the body swap happened to teach Bong Hwan and So Yong a lesson. A lesson about love. Bong Hwan was a play boy and So Yong was timid in her relationship with King. Both of them learned a lesson on relationships.
Is that the beginning of 9th episode? That day they met at a lake, Then parted ways to attend their schedules? Because the ML is wearing the same outfit. And Doona probably changed her outfit to attend the event? So they are still together?
It's just one interpretation thou. It's an open ending, so anything is possible.

Ji chang Wook was amazing.
Wi Ha Joon was good as well. But his character was kinda poorly written for a villain.
But on MDL scale it seems underrated.
