Ok, I had a dream last night where Porchay told Kim about a certain brand of guitar he always wanted but could never afford, then Kim ended up buying it for him and gave it to him as a surprise.
I really can't wait for more Kim and Porchay scenes, Kim' character seems more intriguing in the series then he did in the novel, plus Jeff is cute and hot all at the same time and Barcode is so fricken adorable and he's just perfect as Porchay.
I made my mom see the sex scene. I regret nothing.
Hey, I did the same thing, my mom is all into KinnPorsche right now. It's all she talks about. I showed her the novel and now she's watching the series with me and she's enjoying it!
I legit think that everyone of LEGAL AGE or w/e the legal age of their country IS should watch episode 4 ending…
This was me when I watched it! I was like a full bottle of wine in when I started watching episode 4 and by the time I got to that scene I was about 2 bottles in and just slightly tipsy. Then I watched it again the day after while sober and dang, it was like experiencing the whole thing over again for the first time, very different indeed. 100% would recommend others to try at least once. But remember people, only do this if you are of legal drinking age in your country!
Ok, I have officially converted my 50 year old mother into a KinnPorsche fan...now all she wants to talk about is KinnPorsche, all the time, day and night but hey, I'm not complaining. Not sure I remember the last time she was so into a series, both the tv show and the novel.
Mimi, I feel you. There's a bunch of people on Twitter and even Youtube (actually, Youtube is almost worse then…
I agree, they played it better than most BL's have in the past. In my opinion the scene does border on SA/non con and is definitely a grey area. They walked a fine line in that scene, sure people can argue that Porsche did not verbally consent (and they would be right) but at the same time, while he was definitely horny, for the most part you could tell that his mind was fairly clear. First the headbutt to Vegas' face (which was beautiful) and especially with him bringing up the whole pier kissing scene, it means he has awareness. Which was all Kinn was really waiting to hear brought up because he wanted to know that Porsche remembered and had been comfortable with what had happened at the pier. Sure it wasn't as explicit as the novel but it was still pretty damn explicit and I commend them for that.
I think I kind of prefer the series version of this scene over the novel version to a extent...I guess they both have their pros and cons but in the series version there are definitely more emotions at play between Kinn and Porsche which made it feel less weird or creepy, I don't know, I like the series version and novel version for different reasons but the way they played it out in the series definitely works better for a tv show than if they had just poled the version from the book to adapt. I also just feel a deeper connection to the series so far than I did the novel and I'm interested to see if that will last until the end of the show.
I am genuinely curious. Who am I hurting by watching and supporting and enjoying the series? Or by watching we…
This! They can judge the show if they want but a lot of them include, us, the audience in their criticism. That being said, they should have known what they were signing up for before the show started. I mean, it's a show about the mafia, it's rated 18+ and there's a advisory before the show starts. So, obviously there are going to be some heavy topics explored. They've been given their warnings so if they can't handle it and they don't like it then they should just stop watching all together and leave us (the audience who's enjoying the show) alone.
I love when people come in here, leave a comment about how toxic the audience is for supporting this series and…
Mimi, I feel you. There's a bunch of people on Twitter and even Youtube (actually, Youtube is almost worse then Twitter) going on about the SA/non con scene in episode 4 and how they don't understand how people support that kind of stuff and I was like, we're not supporting it in real life peoples. We're watching this stuff because it's part of a drama series, it literally gives you a warning before the show starts. It's a show about the mafia, what did these people expect? Sunshine and rainbows? Because that's not what this show is about, it's rated 18+ for a reason. Like all the people I see complaining about the show and it's topics, I honestly wish would just drop the show already cause it's not going to be their cup of tea going forward either. They think the KinnPorsche scene was bad, wait till they get to VegasPete, they'll be fuming. This show is a drama, not real life, it's acting and we like to watch this because of the drama. Obviously when stuff like this happens in real life there are and should be consequences but this is a DRAMA SHOW! People need to try and differentiate between a drama show and reality but they can't seem to do that. Pretty sad in my opinion. Also, their anger and agitation over that scene means they also missed how well directed that scene was, it was beautifully done, from the set to the lighting, everything from a directing/filming stand point was beautiful.
