Ok. I dropped at epi 8, came back to look at epi 19 to see if there was any growth. None. The writers still have…
For me, yes. Not denigrating the actors whatsoever! This particular script is not what I thought it was going to be. Now, sometimes a good hate watch can be cathartic, but this one didn’t work for me. I’ll also say this isn’t my usual kind of post, but I was really irritated at what the writers were doing with what was supposed to be a women positive story, as is implied in the title. I mentioned before, and I’ll say it again. The kids and The doc are the only adults.
Since I put this one on the shelf I decided to try my luck with another drama and let me tell you it is fantastic.…
Meet Yourself is a safe haven! A lovely story beginning to end, with beautiful scenery, interesting characters with good development, and no unnecessary angst.
Shame on Love in your eyes writers, for having HM and high heels monopolize the series, draining all the life and energy from it. They were especially egregious in making light of attempted su*c*de.
Ok. I dropped at epi 8, came back to look at epi 19 to see if there was any growth. None. The writers still have the antagonist at the forefront. There is still no accountability from the pseudo adult, the one still blaming everyone else for the debacle she directly and stupidly caused. The kids are still the adults, and I still don’t see what the Dr is drawn to in Zi You. Not worth commenting on the husbands and the sly Secretary.
I will admit. Out of morbid curiosity I may come back to skim the finale to see if anyone survives.
The tags aren’t exactly right( which is not unusual); no comedy, little sismance. Not enough Jasper L.
Update; a friend told me she read Chinese viewers remarks, and said there are requests asking this be taken off air.
Epi 88: This has long ago gone the route of Gentleman and Lady where the writers are enamored with the antagonist and have made He Mi the lead. It’s embarrassingly ridiculous now. Placing on hold, but I’m sure will be checking on the chatter here to see if they bring the story back.
Epi 7: I Love love love the video the two interns made. Talk about class! Going forward with heads held high, guaranteed they would get offers. No wailing or whining. Conversely it showed the company wasn’t so smart in letting exceptionally good interns go. The series was a lovely story with a little romance, a little business, and a whole lotta nice.
I dropped at epi 8, but came back and glanced at epi 14 to see where it went, and it’s so much worse. My heart breaks for the kids being stuck with those awful parents. What was the writer thinking making everyone so unlikeable except for the kids and the Dr. . Hehehe I’ll be back for the finale to see how they miraculously bring everyone together, rainbows and lollipops for all. 🙄😖
It gave me Be Together vibes. With friends like that who needs enemies.
From the 8 epi’s I watched of Viva Femina, the only decent ones are the kids and the Dr. I feel so bad for the kids being stuck with such awful parents. As far as the Dr, I can’t see what would draw him to her. She’s a mess on all sides.
Someone, get that kid some bone marrow!…truth be told, I am 2x speeding the side character drama. The evil uncle/cousin,…
Omg YESSSSSS!!!! I’ll supply the kimchi! I still cannot stand to see the actress that played Sa Ra because of that character. 😆 It is going to be the same for Sang Joon’s mother. Oh I despise her. She has not expressed one iota of concern for Ji Woo who was for all those years her grandson. She has been totally useless. All she does is have a pity party. I’m psyching myself up for the inevitable all is forgiven at the end.
* Sangjun mother is soooo dumb she knows everything but can't make her brain works*The cousin is running away…
I don’t mean to be obtuse, but I do not get the way GW’s mother & grandmother are acting- at all. . To say that “that” woman is stealing their son? Really? A 30 year old? I feel the sorriest for Ji Woo; he’s being ripped to shreds.

Both mothers have behaved deplorably towards him.
