This reminds me of the drama ‘This Week My Wife is Having An Affair’ (Lee Sun Kyun and Song Ji Hyo). There, the wife is the one who’s cheating. They had a divorce, but in the end they got back together because the husband couldn’t live without her anyway even though he tried to find other women. So yeah there’s a possibility this might have a similar storylines.
Back then, Dr Cha actually knew that Dr Seo was Dr Choi’s boyfriend when they were all still in Uni or doing their internship. Doesn’t it count as cheating too, that they had sex the moment they were alone together. Even though they’re trying to justify it as ‘young hot blood’. So when Dr Cha finally found out that her husband is having an affair, she too will understand the feeling of being cheated on. Its’s a ‘what goes around comes around’ situation. Of course Dr Seo is the serial cheater here. And Dr Seo could have divorced Dr Cha a long time ago, but I guess it’s already too convenient for him to have someone like her to run the household and to take care of his mother .
The way she’s treating him like a king after he lied to her, telling her he bought a secret birthday present for her, only after she found the receipt for Dr Choi. Even if it’s true, one gift after 20 years of emotional neglect, resentment and psychological manipulation. But maybe that’s what will happen if a wife is being treated like that for a long time, she will lose her self worth and confidence.
So yeah there’s a possibility this might have a similar storylines.
