This drama is too good! People compare it with Joy of Life and others beacause of trasmigration and so on but let’s be serious, it is truly one of a kind in c.ent industry! It trully is a ‘hip-hop fantasy’ as it brands itself. Of course ‘la piece de resistance ‘of this beautiful and unique drama is Dylan Wang. His interpretation of Xu Qi An is flawless. He was born for this role and GOTD had to wait for someone like Dylan to appear! Even the author of GOTD said that he could not imagine anyone else playing XQA. It was a mach made in heaven! On top of that the regizor is brilliant! He succesfully embedded good comedy in a fast pacing, captivating storyline with movie like visuals. The cast is also outstanding! In my opinion whether it reaches that heat index of 30k ( I’m convinced that it will) it doesn’t matter as this drama will stand among masterpieces and it will be a reference for its kind for many years to come!✌🏻

Fun facts for those who watched Meteor Garden and Love Between Fairy and Devil: I’ve just randomly discovered that one of 2 copper gongs Zhu Guang Xiao ( his face looked familiar but I couldn’t put my finger on it) is the guy from MG who worked in a restaurant with Shan Cai and had a crush on her. So one of Dylan’s rivals in love in MG is now one of his best friends in GOTD and his brother Xufeng from LBFAD was now a malicious rival in GOTD ( Zhou Li), lol. The tangled paths of drama world 😀. Must have been nice for Dylan though to work with actor fellows from his previous dramas!✌🏻
After ep 22 we can rest assured that the Grand Princess is on the good side. Under that rigid composure she hides a kind heart. She loves her sister and she wants good things for her. She knows what cakes princess Lin An likes better than her own mother. Also she was thoughtfull enough to buy that painting of princess Pingyang. She also in a subtle way sugestted to XQA to pay a visit to her sister and bring her those things ( the cakes and the painting) in order to ease her pain. I also love the fact that there is no love triangle between the 2 sisters and XQA. I would have hated that. Sisters are supposed to love and support each other and not to fight over a man!

I was thinking of that too but then I remembered some details from the previous episodes. So XQA has found that Zhou Chixiong has fled to Yuzhou a place full of bandits and lawless people where it was almost impossible to find him. Without any connections. On the other hand he knows that No 2 the Winged Woman is living in that place and her daily job is catching bad people from there. In previous episodes he also had cleverly sat the ground for a favour from Winged Woman when he saved no 6. So when the last day for solving the Sangbo case arrived, in order to save his life, he used his atuu on Winged Woman and asked her to catch that villain. So after all it was rushed beacause XQA needed something fast to save his life.
