I also wanted to know whether all the lines were inside jokes for CN because I have no clue about it's origin

The poetry lines that qi an says in this drama, did he compose them himself or was it well know in modern china and he is just using them from his education??

On a side note, I feel bad for the soldiers and guards, they are just fodder and collateral damage always when they were just trying to do their jobs, it's tough to be a commoner in ancient times
