Mother, Wen Xi, died when her son, Fu Zi An was a child (abt 3 yo). Waking up as an 18 year old 15 years later, she sets out to save her son from his destined villain role, which lands him in prison. FL transmigrates through her phone to 1980s as Jiang Ning, a hopeless romantic. Her fiancé, Zhang Zhijie, traveled abroad leaving her to take care of his parents and family business. After 3 years he’s back and is dating her cousin, Jiang Xiaotang. Deciding she’s no pushover, FL agrees to break the engagement and marries someone she liked at first sight, Huo Lingchuan. Married, she decided to start a business. That’s when she met Wang Sen, grandson of her former business partner (when she was in charge of Zhang’s furniture business). Wang Sen hires her to be his translator and fancies her, but she is quick to reject his advances. On her wedding day, her cousin teams up with Wang Sen to drug both newlyweds, but who knew Wang Sen would directly warn them. After being in prison for 3 years, Xiaotang and Zhijie (he went to prison for falsely accusing ML of abusing power) are released. Zhijie seems to have changed, but Xiaotang still harbors evil against FL. She kidnaps FL, ML and Wang Sen arrive. She states nothing can stop her, and she only wants FL dead (atp FL is heavily pregnant). ML steps in, is stabbed. The next scene looks like her going back to the real world, but the Huo Lingchuan appears. It’s kinda confusing 😅
THE END
Good story. Chemistry is off the charts 📈. Apart from her annoying family,fiancé and his family everything is good. No MIL trope. Definitely recommend!

I just finished watching it on yt. It started out not so great (in my opinion). ML was a yandere who had been given as a "peace offering " to another nation as a toddler (basically a hostage prince) by his mother in order to protect her favorite son (ML's younger brother). FL was a transmigrator who entered the body of a cannon fodder, who pretended to be the Princess of the country ML was shipped off to as a kid. Rumors were that ML liked the princess but his love was unrequited. The og princess maltreated ML when they were kids, so ML hated her and instead of finding her to make her his empress, he actually wanted to torture her as revenge.
FL transmigrated right when the cannon fodder and other girls were claiming to be the real Princess. She thought of saying the truth (that she was not the princess), but another girl beat her to it and was killed instantly. She also thought of admitting she was the princess, but the last other girl beat her to it, and was quizzed, but failed and was killed instantly. FL could only admit to being the princess and luckily passed the test.
She was later set up by the Emperor’s (ML’s) concubine but escaped suspicion. The plot unfolds with her (previous body owner) haven taken a drug and forming an alliance with ML’s younger brother to consummate with ML within a month. She would later conceive a child with ML’s younger brother and pin the child as being the ML’s child, then later betray the ML and make his brother the Emperor.
But since FL transmigrated, she didn’t know any of the details of the plan (original body owner’s memory was not transferred to her). After finding out about the drug from her friend, FL made advances to ML (not consummating = death). To succeed and after succeeding, FL kept lying to ML about her identity and feelings, so she wouldn’t be killed. ML started liking and she too felt the same towards him. But there was a problem.
FL hadn’t told ML about her identity yet. Who knew ML had found out through his younger brother that she was not the princess? At least not her 😂🤭… Atp ML was aware of her identity but she didn’t know he knew . She tried coming clean but ML was too scared she would leave him after telling him the truth, so he hid the fact that he knew her identity and interrupted her whenever she tried to confess.
FL later realized he already knew and they had a heart to heart moment where FL assured him she now genuinely liked him. But here comes the bump. ML was out on patrol when ML’s mother and concubine found the real princess and brought her back, also had the intention to kill FL so she escaped. She went to a different city hoping ML would come looking for her. He actually did. He even killed the real princess to make sure that there was no threat to FL’s current fake identity.
They both returned to the palace, ML’s brother was punished by death, ML’s mother was confined in her palace forever, ML’s harem was cleared out and they had a wedding ceremony. Finally FL had become his empress and ML had found love, something he didn’t know he deserved.

Really good script. Way better than I expected (judging by how it started). The pace was just right. It wasn’t dragged or rushed 😊. I ended up being really satisfied with everything. Good chemistry between leads, great acting and great plot. Totally recommend 💯.
