The Fl love for the Zhang may not translate well into this life cuz circumstances are different, she was like caged bird in the previous episode with only one outlet of these emotions. Only Zhang treated her with bit of the humanity in there, while others leads were against her and in that environment of "Devil and the saviour" he was like her dying light/last hope.
but things are different now and the main requirement for that environment, devils are not present and she has went out of her way to make sure, Xi Wei understands her and Yan have been told early on....She don't like him and see him as a friend only.
They are not compatible with eachother and Zhang can't walk along her in her crusade to right her wrongs of past life, like saving the Yan family. So her initial feelings will cool down in upcoming episodes and I suspect his character may even change depending upon circumstances.

I don't judge drama's based on previews and trailers, if Xi Wei is the end game, directors won't spend much time on this. I believe She has kind of "praise" for him and she likes his character but that can't be defined as love cuz this can be stemming from her stigma of previous life, where she believed nobody protected and loved her.

Okay then point out your evidence for saying, she is paying people and you are making the accusations. So you better have receipt and full-fledged evidence to back it up.

I don't agree with the Zheng and FL romance cuz former is soft, innocent and good guy, while later is cold, calculating and manipulating bad-b. Their relationship will be like Domineering CEO (FL) and innocent secretary (ML).

ML character at the start of the drama was the "Marshal of Zheng army" man who conquered cities, the famous general even revered by his enemies but during the course of this drama, he has become personal "Lap dog" of the FL and there is no justification to deciding on matter of "safe-passage" to enemy forces by counting 1-10 and kiss.
Its disrespectful to all the people who follows him and he doesn't deserve the position of "Marshal" after this behaviour, I wouldn't be surprised if people rebelled against him after this. I personally believe, FL is never going to help him with the father matter cuz she belongs to "Traitor Generals Party" and instead ML weak-ass-Pathetic father is going to give up to Sun-Jiang and ML father will become Emperor in name and ML crown-prince in name only.
The sooner ML wakes up better would be the ending cuz there is a difference between manipulation and intelligence, FL quiet frankly is just using his love to gain advantages here and once our poor pathetic ML becomes crown prince, it would become even more worse after this.

The best ending would be the Open Ending !

ML is popular there cuz of sympathy and bad ending, people complain its un-fair to demon lord and that's why its wrong and TOTEM was not gender centric, I have read the original novel and then watched the adaptation.

Bai Lu is multiple award-winning actress and have majority of her work is critically acclaimed and have very high rating, while ML of TOTEM is kinda "Hit and miss" and Bai Lu far outranks him in Chinese industry.
