Actually this has been shifting k-ent culture wise this year. People getting sick of visual only focused and really being drawn toward strong acting/scripts etc. The usual 'visual' actors are facing a fair amount of backlash from the gp regarding their acting. And seonho is a world wide hearthrob (get that your tastes are different) especially after Hometown Cha CHa CHa (also a strong drama, not about visuals).

I agree, totally orginally. It's been interesting watching the translator/intrepreter profession get really exicted on twitter because they have never seen their careers highlighted in a romcom like this before.

This is incorrect tho. It remained on the top 10 list of kdrama watched on disney until a couple of week ago (that is 16 months+ after it was released). So you are literally spreading false info. Go hype your fave and stop attacking her costar, Can this love be translated is going to be awesome, because of the both of them, stop adding negative energy to her first romcom

Huh? that was an ensemble cast and very niche genre and he got tons of acting praise for it. Folks who loved the genre and were The Witch fans LOVED it.; It still gets talked about on Naver and other Korean Platform etc, especially for his performance. Twitter is exploding over his return to romcom, you should at least acknowedge that.

So excited for this highly anticpated Kdrama! The buzz on all the social media platforms is huge and Netflix worldwide is going all out for this one. Kim Seonho's return to romcom is so exciting (after him being in dramas and noir for a while). The cast looks great, the cinematography spanning 4 continents is going to be lit and...Hong Sisters storytelling!

Cannot wait to see Kim Seonho's brilliant acting. The cast looks great, the cinematography next level and the promo that Netflix is doing is impressive. And the traction this is getting on all the social media platforms is huge, especially for Seonho's romcom comeback. Plus, Hong sisters returning to their non-fantasy roots is exciting.

Actually it has not been 100% confirmed as an all episode drop yet. Holding out hope that it is staggered but agree that Netflix is bad at this stuff. Thankfully the usual netflix strategy is not applying here, there promo is out of hand (electronic billboards all over korea dropped in last 4 days, huge promo in Jakarta with an immersive fanmeet on the 16th, and worldwide netflix accounts promoting it (including netflix main). they are going all out with this one globally, which indicates this is obviously not just a meh romcom. :)

It's getting HUGE traction on all the platforms tho and the promo by Netflix accounts all over the world is incredible(including Netflix main which included it on it's 2026 to watch list, only other kdrama that had that was Squid Game). So it's highly anticipated and has the potential for being a global hit for sure. They would not promote like that if it was mid.

Kim Seonho , being a seasoned theatre actor, is SUPER particular about scripts and storylines, so hopefully you get pleasantly surprised.

Oh also, folks that are professional translators/intrepreters are so excited and happy that finally their trade is going to be highlighted in a drama.

Hey, just so you know he has been booked and busy for years and this year all his dramas come out (where he is the lead). Unfriend (Tving TBA), May The Congressman Protect You (TVn, last half of the year) and Portraits of Delusion (probably dec). Plus, him in the Noir movie The Childe (2023) is amazin and also The Tyrant (2024).

It's written by the Hong Sisters tho - they are remowned and well respected story tellers and have been doing Fantasy for their last few projects, so there jump into romcom is going to be super interesting. Plus the cast looks great especially with Kim Seonho at the helm and his incredible acting

Soo excited for this highly antipated krama, it's getting huge traction on all the platforms and big promo by Netflix across the world (Including Netflix main). Love Kim Seonho and his incredible acting talent(and babedom lol). Also love the rest of the cast, the Hong Sisters and can't wait to see the beautiful cinematography filmed on 4 continents.

So heartening to see the huge excitement on every social media platform for Seonho's return to romcom with Can This Love Be Translated? Jan 16, Netflix. The cast is amazing, the cinematography is going to be beautiful and the Hong Sisters storytelling. we are in for a treat!
