I hope that this drama is recognizable with the book though, at least with the female lead. I haven't read that far yet, but I really liked her and the circumstances she was in. She had read/skimmed part of the novel or history that she is transported to, in another woman's body, and trying to survive, furfill the wish of the girl who she is "in", and get back to her life. She is smart and uses some of her modern knowledge to help her in doing a little business, and quite a bit different from the previous girl etc. But I am concerned that this version, she will just be a genius and "Mary-Sue who is good at everything, and can do everything without hardly any struggle. I am so looking forward to seeing Peng Xiaoran and Ding Yuxi though!🤗

Well, that new director is ridiculous. They literally just had the cast dinner, so the filming is about to or barely started, AFTER he liked this comment. So how would he know? Is he talking about some past experience or show? Is he jealous or something?
Song Wei Long has proven himself as a Leading man and has acted with at least 2, several years older women before as well. Wei Long hasn't done that many Costume dramas yet, but I have faith he will do a good job, if the director (who ever he is) doesn't give him a hard time.
Fact-Its a 'censored-adaptation' means its good to watch just like any normal dramas. It can be simply aired as…
..Or people who fetishize and are obsessed with BL dramas and Gay relationships and have to twist very relationship, including friendship, into homosexual and seen through "homo"-colored "glasses."
I think it should have more episodes! I vaguely remember that they were or DID have more episodes (I think), but they probably edited them out. I really hope that it won't mess up the drama later on.
