Ding Chengxin and Wang Churan who were both in the short movie "Painted Skin". I only saw one melon with them as possible leads so far, so I am really not sure how reliable it is.
I just saw a melon that said Cheng Yi and Li Yitong (a different actress than shown here) may be the leads. It may start filming around the end of the year. I really don't know how accurate this rumor is.

Yes, that's true. I do think that Jerry is probably a destraction or diversion. They are probably playing with the audience's minds. In mystery shows, or novels the main or real murderer is usually very understated or unexpected as well.
The personality of Jerry is pretty unexpected for a guy like Big Mouse, (so it could work) but the actual drama and camera work are emphasizing him possibly as BM maybe a little too much.

Just to clarify, but bipolar disorder is not two or more personalities within one body. From what I heard, Bipolar disorder is more of someone who has intense extremes in moods/emotions, sometimes within a short amount of time etc...
