Everything was very choppy. We didn’t really understand much going into the end. Yes people betrayed him, but he even before to those that didn’t betray him. He lied about all of his promises so considering the fact that even though one of his brothers was a spy he still helped him with the poison. And even with everything spy related that he supposedly was, he never once hurt the Emperor or his other brother so after the Emperor‘s descent into madness, he really just didn’t care about anyone. But I do wish we had a better ending and less choppy because I looked on Weibo and the leads were supposed to get married and everything and that was cut off somewhere.

Exactly; every single actor did a phenomenal job. And for someone like GJM like I said who was allergic to happy endings to give us two of them with both couples is pretty great. This drama definitely isn’t for everyone. I just think that if people are going to hate on it, they should just drop it. Same goes for any other drama. I just really loved how intellectual and comprehensive of the drama was were like it was even OK to watch one episode at a time you can have to have two episodes a day just because there was so much that went into each one.
