I would have to agree, except for the part that he did not have to lie to her once he had already officially left. As soon as she fell off that cliff, thanks to the little shit, and he rescued her and saved her life. He could’ve stayed by her side and told her the truth then and it could’ve gone however it would’ve gone or when she got to the military camp in the first place.
