Yeah, I got really confused by those comments and then I’m like why is this being compared to that? And then people started going off and I was just like “nope nope nope I’m staying away from that whole crazy train.” Just put my two cents up here and leave everything else alone. One thing I can say is, I am allergic to drama of the stupid kind.

I haven't seen the announcement thing on Weibo because they've posted so much that it'll take a while to scroll; but I'll look and see if they belong as main or others as support.
It’s a bit cheesier than MLC. But once you get past the second episode, I think you will find a groove.
Choice is yours. I don't base watching something on ratings especially here as this is just a fan site. And given my weird taste, something someone loves, I may not or vice versa.

Another 2 cents: I actually compared CQL to Band of Brothers in my review of it. I loved BoB; it was beautiful, sad, honest, and what brotherhoods should be like and are missed these days. Even though CQL was based on a same-sex story, I was totally in the minority because to me the relationship between the leads was a brotherhood/best friend thing. Maybe I'm old school in that sense. Though I've got no problem with the LGBT community (have many friends in that community who are wonderful ppl); the wokeness I stay away from and I live in the US. Yes it's not great here when it's shoved down your throat or they try to; but I've found that if that's done and you don't back down, they do leave you alone. But prime time still has shows that don't sexualize children or stick men into women's sports, so that may be a bit of a reach in your comment.

Plus it's got an ML that I'm convinced really was a cat in his last life; he's pretty good at mimicking everything cat lol! Folks should just enjoy the show or find one they do enjoy. ☮️

I wouldn’t call it underrated. Because of the weird IQIY schedule, each week it has like different days. So if you want to wait until the end to start watching, totally understandable. Think ballpark end date is like 9th or 10th of March.
