Even in the poster they lay heavy emphasis on the Qian/Yan duo yet he doesn't have as much screen time as XT. Furthermore, I legit thought he was smarter then just to go to YM's home all by himself knowing full well he couldn't beat her alone. But nope, they dumbed down his character just for the puppet thing. We're in the last 8 episodes home stretch and the biggest bad hasn't even been officially introduced. I don't know who wrote or edited this series but they def took drugs. The most screen time was given to those elders and everyone else is running to catch up now.

The romance is unnecessary. The editing with Qian is choppy at best. I wanted a friendship aspect and it seems very disjointed now going into the final arc. I do hope Qian doesn't listen to grandma and merges with Yan somehow instead of killing him. The state arcs were all very quickly done, though they were more necessary and interesting than the long ass elders arc. Qian is more like 3rd lead than second. This drama just seems to have lost its way now.
Why do I keep returning to this page? It’s so weird. Usually when I stick something into my “plan to watch” I don’t return until there’s official news of it. This darn thing hasn’t even announced itself yet lol.🤔
