Over-reacting much? So in other words, ppl can't have opinions other than that everyone is the same, don't talk, watch the show. If that was the case, this and other shows would be very boring. Characters should have layers and these do. Guess what? That's the point of a good show! People can discuss characters! If you don't want to, then don't! But don't shut others down either, that's also the point of a comment section. For discussions, comparisons, contrasts, etc! If you even read past my first paragraph, I spoke of the ML and SML as well and the others who responded did also. This isn't a big female lead show; this is a moving many parts, whodunnit show with a plethora of characters. The fact that you reacted the way you did, shows exactly where you think this show is. If all you're going to do is yell at other commentators for their opinions, don't bother commenting. Just watch and enjoy the show.

We all have our own opinions for characters, that’s fine. Personally I believe YWS is more testing SGQ then latching onto her. She figured out who SGQ was in the jail cell. While SGQ exudes over confidence, YWS is timid and shy even around SGQ.

Agree 💯! Plus did you catch the exchange between them two when YWS said: “You’re so cold-blooded” to which SQG replied smugly, “You haven’t seen a Wang or a Liang”. But the look YWS gave her after that to me read “how do you know I’m not one?” Just because she said she’s a Chi and your raven probably told you there’ll be another Chi…doesn’t mean she’s a Chi. And you broke a cardinal rule of believing everything someone says. She’s bright but not too much.

I want to see some romance on the part of the leads but don’t want it to overshadow the story. Also a good/happy/ good guys win; FL leads the life she deserves type ending would be ideal.

Actually I don’t think they need each other to survive. But SGQ latched onto YWS from day one because she needs it more. Their missions are separate and different and SGQ would kill YWS in a heartbeat if it meant for her to complete her mission. Her superior attitude gives her away; she’s been a Chi converted to a Mei so now she acts like it’s her right. Meanwhile, our FL is quiet and calculating. Only gives answers or information when it suits her. She called SGQ cold blooded so though shes “helpful”, she understands full well SGQ can’t be trusted.
