I think there’s no expectation for rooting for anyone particular obviously, ML and FL are together, but this…
I think there’s a lot of people in the cast so they’re giving them a lot of screen time; with him, I like his character because I remember LYN saying that this particular character of his was very different than what he would play usually because usually we see him in costume dramas being sort of morally gray, almost red flag and here he’s a total green flag as people who saw the manhua were saying on Weibo so though he obviously has secrets (that basically the only woman he ever loved his first love in college, left him, and he has been very guarded since then; not being with anyone, but then she apparently reappears here and FL jumps to the wrong conclusion; so they’ll have to work that out), they’re not cheating secrets or anything of that nature like we see with everybody else here pretty much or losing their mind. But I agree with you he doesn’t need more screen time and I think that his story will get fleshed out a bit more as time continues. But I’m enjoying this a lot because it’s totally different than your usual romance that you say. I wrote like a whole novel up top about what I thought of these last two episodes.
Ep. 8 and them saying XB couldn’t sing and all that made me snort considering LYN is I believe the only real singer in the cast. He was all singing off key trying to make them sound better 🤣🤣🤣.
This show is so interesting. like do they want us to root for the FL and ML when her and Gong have the real chemistry?
I think there’s no expectation for rooting for anyone particular obviously, ML and FL are together, but this show is so like different and maybe five dimensional that you can root for whoever you want.
I love how Dante’s Inferno this drama is it’s like the conversations weave in and out of truth and of questions and everything of that nature. I feel our leads and the way the show is progressing are possibly moving a bit too fast because they barely know anything about each other or each other‘s past they don’t know anything about each other‘s families or situations. A solid foundation and telling the truth and not hiding things is the way to build a solid relationship. After being together for four months and already saying, I love you and moving in and even being asked about marriage is like shotgun relationship.
Everyone else, especially VG’s character he’s hysterical. He like, sometimes tells the truth other times it’s all like in code or something very typical of someone who has an artistic brain. This entire group of people and their friendship is definitely interesting. I mean it’s obvious that most of them were friends since they were kids and they’re very different in personalities plus the few relationships that are questionable and the guys that can’t make up their minds and some of the girls need to also figure out what they want and be honest and not afraid. I think the reason that Gong (other then him being “in love” with her after the set up with the fake name) and FL are able to connect is because he met her the way he met her and so he knows a lot more about her because of that than her boyfriend does which she’s afraid to share with him. So she feels it’s easier to talk to him about some stuff.
I wonder before the end of the show whether she’s going to finally tell him the truth, obviously his ex comes into the picture for a bit and that has some issues. And I don’t like that older woman that she worked for I mean, she sent all those goons after FL that got beaten up by our gang. But then in the previews, it seems like someone is stalking or following the FL which is also creepy.
I really like the take where they have them all in costumes and Gong looked like he sort of playing devils advocate as a demon with fangs and other things horns and everyone else is dressed up and talking about love and how either they perceive it or how it looks. So this is definitely a much different type of romance than you usually see. It’s got a lot of complications and a lot of secrets and a lot of things that need to be put out there but are said in like almost code I guess. It fits actually the cover image of vines that sneak around on a flower bush because that’s exactly how all these conversations and how all these relationships intertwine.
Until they are straight up honest and serious to each other about everything it’s going to continue to be like that until it inevitably implodes or explodes. But I definitely like the fact that this is a much different type of drama. I do want to see more of LYN and his character as opposed to all these other couples though I understand why they are there. This location where they had dinner and playing that game is also very different. I’ve never seen anything like it.
Show should be called Love Vines or something equally different that depicts what we are watching.
Well, now it's 7.6, the same as HDY. It was 8.7 but went down to 8.6.
When it’s in the eights or anything else or even a high seven like a 7.9 it’s not strange but most recently dramas have all started with the same score of 7.7 and then they either go up or they go down but many dramas very first score is a 7.7 and at first I didn’t pay any attention to it, but I started noticing that it didn’t matter the genre or who the actors were that that was pretty consistent with a lot of dramas so I asked the staff and they said that it was a bug that the admins needed to fix.
