So fair to assume next episode Mark’s ex makes an appearance and things get even more complicated? But I feel at the end of 8; both leads will be headed towards each other finally free of all of their ghosts. I still hope Mark learns the truth from Nuea or someone he trusts 🙏🏻. That’s my quasi-prediction and I’m sticking to it lol.

Direct attacks are not cool; I have no respect for ppl that do that. They’re sophomoric and unnecessary. So much easier to just chat. Aggression can be left on the porch. Yes, I’m the diplomatic peacekeeper person lol.

Well for starters, let’s all take a deep breath. I read this individual’s comments and it seems you both have been playing volleyball with words on multiple threads. Honestly, I think both of you are entitled to your respective opinions regardless of differences. It’s perfectly normal to discuss stuff we disagree on without disrespecting each other. I mean in this thread, you and I had a long conversation where there were times we disagreed and were able to have a very stable conversation. I don’t think either of you are wrong in your points just maybe the delivery of them. Hope that helps. 😊

Is this one considered a high budget BL or not? Could that also be the reason for its shortcomings? I think I’m done with the genre overall after this. Unless something really speaks to me again. These two actors that off screen come off as brothers from another mother, I really hope they get better quality stuff in the future. They deserve it. Also should branch outside of the BL genre; always good to be versatile actors.

That's some dark shit you're talking about, and very ironically one of my books has some of that but with straight characters. And it's not a romance at least not as the primary genre. At the same time, though dark, it's rough and could be really fascinating especially looking from a psychological perspective. As I've told you before, I know Jack squat about BL from any country and it's sad to hear that that kind of writing is common. I do like fluff and chemistry and sometimes though rarely a drama where you don't have to think; easy on the brain for lack of a better phrase.
Yes, the accident was predictable and just about everything else is too though I must admit the "I love you, Mark" did take me off guard because again, those are words not casually tossed out by Vee. Not even to Ploy during their phone conversations which seemed more like play acting to me then conversations of a healthy, romantic relationship btwn two ppl. Their relationship to me also seems forced, like they were just together out of habit, you know what I mean? Is it also common to have uneven cheating in BL's? Like hers was a huge deal but his with Mark was just like "eh shit happens".

I totally see where you're coming from; that's where the inconsistencies lie for me as well. The writing is lacking in really explaining how things function. Thank you for sharing your story because I have seen many comments below where ppl were saying that this whole thing is normal and I really feel it's not. All of my gay/lesbian/bi friends like you knew before college age or had some form of an inkling at least like "hmm that guy is hot." Now not saying ppl can't be in serious denial a la Brokeback Mountain, but considering this is the modern era this series is based in, it would be hard to not at least have a thought. We've got a bunch of plot holes too some more obvious then others. As a writer/author, I feel considering how strong the leads chemistry is, they deserve a way stronger storyline and not the rinse, repeat, plz pass the cheese one.
I also think there's the possibility of dragging the episodes out. I mean, wasn't the original story half of this? Now there's 10 episodes and it doesn't seem like there is enough material because ppl have said that the accident for example in today's never happened. So could all of these issues also be happening because they're trying to create a larger story with little to work with? 🤷🏻♀️ I spoke to someone on YouTube who basically was confused wondering what they can stick into 10 episodes when there's enough for only 8.

Remember, this is a drama and one that requires faster resolution. I’m not a fan of the slow burn romance much unless both sides are on the same page. Vee is very insecure of himself but I thought about it a lot more and have come to a viable conclusion. Remember when Mark first asked Nuea about Ploy and Vee’s relationship? And Nuea told him and us that they got together after being crowned homecoming king and queen; but they had no seeming interest in one another until their own classmates started to ship them online. What if that entire relationship is essentially built on a lie? That would mean Vee could not know what his sexual identity was and got with Ploy because she was the security blanket he needed. Why does he keep letting her back in after all the screw ups? Until this last time when he was 100% sure he was no longer the same man. Did he put himself in the sitch, yep. I wish it wasn’t written that way but it was. So I give him credit for finally seeing some form of light. Discussing his psychology is fascinating; bummer that the writing is weak because it could have been a very strong angle to approach things from.

Well said, I agree with a lot. I’m basically watching for the leads chemistry too. I also like Bar and his bf plus Nuea has grown on me since he stopped essentially stalking Mark. You’re not a masochist if you still like something about this show. Be a different story if you hated literally everything but were still watching.

I don’t think Vee is a bad person overall. He was confused in the beginning as anyone who never expected to fall for someone else especially one of his own gender but not anymore and if you saw the backtrack explanation of Ploy scene, he DID push her away and said no. She was the one that didn’t take no for an answer and kissed him. Could he have pushed her away? Of course! But there was serious for the first time resistance on his part. He doesn’t want Ploy and remember he did actually say to Mark, that he loved him. Those aren’t words this man uses casually. It being a drama, of course Mark and the others had to walk up at the absolute wrong moment.
why couldn't they include a preview in these episodes, I really want to know what will happen next episode ahhhhhhhh…
Right there with you; gotta rely on Twitter and either WETV or whomever happened to find something. CN dramas have previews for every episode sometimes in multiples, why not this one?
That ending was everything! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I'm so glad all parents and most friends gave the…
I'm rewatching that ending because it's making me laugh so hard....security guard had no chance and I love Vee's solemn declaration to Mark in front of anyone and everyone within hearing range.
