Full agreement. I'm not sure if this synopsis is even accurate so who knows. I wish GL would leave JN alone, he's like promising to protect without ever really knowing her and she doesn't even like him. He keeps being in the way. Plus he's like a big oaf, he's got the brawn but very little in terms of brains. GY is a lovable nerd and has both brains though some stuff he says makes me think of Bill Nye, The Science Guy lol. Some of it makes sense and some, eh not so much. But he's totally working his ass off to be the best soldier he can be. I feel that most of the officers do give him a harder time and see everything that the oaf does as almost an epiphany for the military. Only one officer acknowledges GY's worth, the one driving the truck in that drag heavy shit exercise.

Geez, why is it that every other episode those two are constantly on the verge of being kicked out? Like they're hungry and catch a pig to eat, the pig doesn't have an address branded on its ass, yet they get in trouble because the army doesn't have enough food for their soldiers.

Do they GY and the love interest, see each other at all or does the oaf continue to get in between them no matter what? I'm watching them now.

It did get top billing on Vlinkage for a while and though nowhere near a hit, also has been placing first on Datawin. So that's something. I think the one episode a day is harming them a lot. But I think that might have been cctv's call (don't quote me on this plz). It is promoted on weibo by the page, Tencent, bloggers, and even the cast themselves. It's promotion is within proper range. Better to under promote then over do it.

It's a military drama, not a bromance or BL anything. They become good friends that work together to make their portion of the army troop an elite, hence the title "Ace Troops."
