I understand the thought process behind it, but execution was very poor. Let him study abroad, change his mind, what she said wasn't enough, whatever but make it believable and not for 5 years. The time lapse was way too large. I'll write a review either later or tomorrow. It could have been handled way way better; I'm speaking as an author who's done both romance and time lapses up to multiple decades and centuries. There was no ebb and flow here; it was abrupt, sudden, without cohesion. The actors did well but I call foul on screenwriters.
Ok I’m officially confused. 34 didn’t make any sense whatsoever. I ended up skipping a lot of it. Even if he agreed to study abroad, it was so poorly written. Screenwriters were stoned! Update: I'm officially done with it. 34 was very poorly written, could have been done so much better.
