Don’t know if you saw the interviews, but the break up was filmed three or four times and it lasted something like 20 minutes when they were filming I’m sure it’s shorter in the episode but the actors both said they were exhausted after the first or second take so they didn’t really know or understand why the director needed two more. You will see ZKY the emotional Ronis is amazing. He pulls it off beautifully. We have some sweet moments. I’m guessing today from past timeline as they get together and that last something like three episodes for the past timeline and them together and then things go south in the past timeline they haven’t showed any previews of present timeline, so I’m guessing we’re not going to be getting that unless it’s with couple number two who are by the way amazing. And I have no idea how they’re even going to squeeze in a couple number three because they are apparently there, but I guess just in the background.
Annnnnd! We finally get what we’ve been asking for in episode 23. Smooth transition from awful past to togetherness current! It’ll be Sunday but looks like it’ll be very worth it. Read spoiler above because people have been watching videos and thinking one thing or another thing from previews. This is what really happened.
Ironically, I have also watched less shows than last year. On my profile I list the shows that I watch and last year I watched 56 shows and right now I'm at 44 though I think they may drop two more this month before the end of the year Both being modern dramas but totally different. I have dropped a lot of dramas this year more than probably ever because they're just either absolutely ridiculous or don't grab my attention or it's the same old thing. And it's sad because you want to like them and you want to watch them but it's just not happening. I think the last one I dropped was love and crown; I got through eight episodes and was like nope I'm done. A lot of people afterwards spoke to me in different drama sections and said I wish I had listened to you and left even though I didn't say anything bad just that this drama isn't for me. I watched eight episodes if you're enjoying it keep enjoying it but it's just not hitting the marks so when other people tell you, they wish they had listened and not watched because it was a total mess that says something. Because these are complete strangers from different countries. So let's hope that that's symposium lit a fire in the industry or under the industries's ass I should say.
The thing about their entertainment industry, and I was watching Marcus Sim on Tuesday and he mentioned a symposium where over 100 actors were invited to give their opinions on how the industry can improve and many actors said that it would be great if there were new and fresh ideas out there for scripts because many felt that it was a constant repeat of the same concept regardless of genre. I think it was Arthur Chen that said that when he was recently playing a role, he felt like he had done it before in another drama. And I completely agree with them. Everything is so hamster wheel predictable that it’s very rare to get a script that’s different again regardless of genre and that’s why it’s always actors fighting for roles. But they really need to bring fresh blood into the industry, new novelists and screenwriters and new ideas so their industry can have a rebirth for lack of a better phrase or a resurrection. Because it’s quite sad right now as literally every genre has so many tropes that people can spot them from a mile away sometimes even in the first five episodes and that’s very telling.
