I actually decided to hop on the platform to see for myself because usually I avoid it like the plague because of the horrible subs and yes they’re not 100% as smooth as the other platforms they are definitely a lot better and the fact that they actually subbed And have SVIP is already a huge deal for them coming from crappy subs or no subs at all. I still watch like the not SVIP on IQIY and then jump over for the one episode on SVIP MGTV. It would do them a world of good to catch up to all the other platforms because they would make more money both for their mainlanders by offering the SVIP service and the international crowd.

It’s very common that a drama is deviate heavily from the novel so it’s great to get the comparison but you have to also understand it that a lot of viewers are not source material readers so from our perspective seeing the same hamster wheel, we don’t understand what’s going on, we just want things to move along.
