I agree. You can be a general and you can be a woman without acting like a kid. Again, I totally think it’s the way she was written so she had to do it, but I find that a lot of dramas do this. They turned strong women into five-year-olds for whatever reason and it doesn’t appeal to a lot of audiences maybe some from the comments in this thread, but to someone like me and apparently a few others it just doesn’t.

I haven’t watched yet, but it looks like crazy father emperor of FL’s side is going to sacrifice his own son for his own immortality or longevity or whatever the hell he’s seeking? That seems quite cruel, obviously won’t happen, but what the hell is on this man’s mind? He’s obviously a crappy ruler since he nearly destroyed the best army he had. With the help of the son he doesn’t know is switching up his pills. I think crown prince needs to get on the throne; I’m wondering if this new doctor from that mountain can heal him since he’s being called a cripple. Crown princess somehow while on the ML side only ML can fix that mess. Which means the return of his memories which we will be getting soon.

But he didn't sound like a little kid when he was pretending to be sick and didn't want to take his medicine. She could've just grunted or grumbled about it and said no, but it's a total break from who she is as a woman forget the general portion for a moment just as a woman. She can talk normally she can joke around and that's cool and that's how she is and she doesn't have the weight of the world on her shoulders in that moment. But here I found it a bit too much the script turned a woman who could've like I said, just grumbled about it into a 12-year-old. She doesn't have to have the world on her shoulders, but she has to understand that this medicine will make her better because she's anemic. The writers just didn't do this particular scene justice is all. But we all have our different opinions so that's just the way it is.

Not when it's written like that. It's not on the actress. It's on the writer.
