My least favorite episode so far. 1. Still donāt like Seri write up. At first I was excited at prospect seeing her at end of last ep. She is practically handed over to professor on a silver platter. He is bound to her, no buts or ifs. They never dated but bc she fell in love with his daughter, then him as dad, š¤·š½. 2. The mom blabbering her mouth about such a deep secret of her in laws was tasteless. I donāt know, it just didnāt play out well in my book. The reactions, everything about that major development was underwhelming. 3. While Hani is adorable, everything about the birthday set up was bland. Maybe because it felt like it was a display, advertisement. Iām actually beginning to notice a lot of that being incorporated in kdramas. (Just finished Connection and kopiko was the item of sell). For me, itās a takeaway from my enjoyment but yeah, thatās me.
Overall, this was a forgettable one unlike all the others Iāve enjoyed so far. Not looking forward to nasty Doko and his useless anger. Alas, Iām beginning to sense a weakening of script? OR, maybe the lack of Chairman Han screen and his magical smile? Hope it picks up again next week.
Absolutely enjoyed this episode. Wonderful writing and directing. For Seri I would almost want a time jump so that in a few years after her return, we can see a mature, confident, successful young woman. However, I would miss the ever so cute dating life of leads. I can say though that Seri in short hair, seemingly happy in her new gig is heaps improvement so we shall see. I almost wish though both she and Beom had love interests not in relation to their family dark past. Weird and awkward.
Iām not trying to jump ahead to see what is to come because this drama is my slow burn dopamine. Well paced, everyone getting good screen time for development, of course my bias are main leads and love it when they get more of. āŗļø
Could do without too much silliness and add more depth would be nice. Practically whole episode of chasing the ābadā guy who then turns into the ally is all for nigh. Didnāt need all the time spent on it. Thinking out loud š
I discovered something. Ratings, good or bad depends on crazy people, not necessarily good or bad. The cdrama The Prisoner of Beauty already has an 8.8 rating so I looked it up. The episode ratings has already been rated by consistent fans to last episode. Here I am dutifully rating per episode in this one never thinking it possible to go beyond. Ha. Oh well, enjoying this one a lot and think it deserves higher rating but now I know not to rely on it.
Sorry I keep harping at Se ri write up but I wish they would give her a big turnaround. Ok, she leaves home declaring to be brave. How? Sitting at bus stop with nothing, no one to hook up? Up to her leaving, she portrays a pity potty girl who has no worth but that. Professor is supposed to fall for her because she became interested in his child then him? Writers practically dumping her on professors lap bc I suppose after the entire day of being at bus stop he will be the one to pick her up and take her to his house. Tsk tsk. Weak as heck. I know it is what it is but very disappointing. Rant over š
I was very happy they went with this direction at episode ending. Through the whole time she was heading to him, I kept thinking of which arch they were going. Amnesia for him due to accident, or her in accident. Relieved!
Me too. This is the most satisfying matured couple relationship building Iāve experienced in a long time in…
You are so right. Sometime misunderstanding donāt clear up til very end. Yeah, so many dramas written as such itās just painful to watch and to put up with for the sake of getting thru to completion.
Seriās behavior is definitely crossing boundaries, and itās troubling how sheās using Kang Suāwho seems…
Yeah, Iām reallY bothered with her character write up. I do appreciate that sheās made kind and sweet, unlike the spoiled characterization often of rich chaebol who schemes bc they donāt adhere to no. One way they could have made her was an honest CEO of her dadās brewery and from there , build a good developing plot on their relationship. A college student, TA who falls in love with his baby to the point of wanting to take care of her, him when they donāt even have a relationship is weak as heck. I donāt think thereās gonna be any change. Blame the direction.
Dong Seok, smitten and in love, is so freaking adorable. He's so straightforward and unyielding about his love,…
Me too. This is the most satisfying matured couple relationship building Iāve experienced in a long time in kdrama/cdrama that I specifically look forward to. I enjoy the entire drama but his pursuit is indeed very charming.
Itās whatās always frustrating to me watching these dramas when a person canāt take a no when politely told they donāt return the feelings. I think this is where the screenwriter falters in yet a very nice Written script so far. Se Ri will wait. What? IRL, thats stalking, senseless behavior. I get the writer intends for them to get together (Iām also rooting for) but I think a more creative plot could have developed. Instead, same lame lazy writing on their development. Seri could be a lively character, outgoing, etc. From beginning sheās a timid, sickly looking person who can barely talk, has no life except in her bed. I feel like I want to wave a wand and blow life into her. What gives with her write up, sheesh.
Thank you. So glad we both have a show to look forward to each weekend. š
Can you believe Iāve actually rewatched the whole show while waiting? Never done that before though I admit thereās some pretty good ones. Twenty seventh episode was especially good I thought.
