Please start watch and endure the pain with most of us
I will, starting from next week. But when you say pain, it concerns me. It can be a good pain or a bad pain.

it's not a contract marriage. they love each other but due to a certain circumstance, which I won't spoil, they…
Ok great. Thanks for not spoiling it for me.

One more week, then i can finally start watching this⏳️ I've seen some previews and I'm confused about something. Are they married from the beginning? But they seem to hate each other. It must be a contract marriage?

Fantastic, i loved it. It had everything, and their chemistry, interactions, and romance were terrific.

I like the diversity of characters also. In reality, there are all sorts of personality types, and in fictional…
Yeah, definitely. But I know how to separate reality from dramaland. If a character is weak, dependent, traditional, more feminine, and relies on a man for support and protection, then that's fine. In fact, i love those characters IF the ML is also traditional and masculine. In reality, i have no problems either way. I just don't understand why the majority of viewers want a strong masculine independent FL with a simping ML, and it's non-negotiable. What's the appeal for those types of characters? I don't mind either way as long as the chemistry, interactions, and romance are good.

despite my rant below, i still cannot ignore this show. id give it a 8/10. minus two points for the disaster writing…
Interesting. What was happening to make it toxic feminism? It has a high rating, does that mean toxic feminism is accepted and maybe encouraged by the majority of viewers?

If you have finished watching this drama, did you like it?
Sounds good. Do the female characters mistreat and exploit the male characters while at the same time the male characters simping for the female characters?

Did you finish it?
Yeah, it's really good, especially the chemistry and interactions between the leads. The only downside is there's a lot of fire rescue and training scenes. I think they overdid that part. It has the scenario where the FL left/betrayed the ML in the past. They meet again in the future, she regrets her decision and tries to win him back but he's angry with her so it takes a while before they get together. But i like the scenes with her trying her best to win him back.

LOL so if anyone is submissive in this drama it would be the ML. She’s just weak and keeps running away from…
Ah, so as soon as you discovered I'm a man, you started spewing your misandry hatred insults towards men. Got it. You're a true misandrist right to the core. I hope the men in your life realise the deep hatred you have towards men and discover your true identity as a man hating misandrist.

"Always men talking shit about products that aren't made for them, unbelievable."

So not only are you a toxic misandrist but also sexist. So now men can't watch dramas? Do you often discriminate against men? It's unbelievable that to this day, we still have people like you who discriminate on the basis of gender.

At first, I thought this was just a rom-com... Now it is becoming so interesting and exciting! Are Dowagers really…
So besides being a romcom, what other components have you discovered?

Romance doesn't come from logic or reason. It can be between anyone and start from anywhere. It can even extend beyond the normal and into the supernatural.

Please think a bit on your own before you answer yet another "Romance?" question.

😂 But isn't that how most female Japanese characters are portrayed? Indecisive, easily wavered and naive.

I couldn’t agree more, diversity is what makes the world beautiful, not everyone can be strong , but some people…
Japanese dramas are my way of escaping the madness of modern expectations of gender and gender roles.

Yeah, the ML is a simp. It's obvious, and I'm not surprised because that's just the times we live in. Modern men are more feminine than ever before, and they're simping at an alarming rate. Gone are the good days of real men like Arnold Schwarzenneger, Sylvester Stallone, Jean Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, and many more.

Why is it so bad to have a weak FL? Why are now FL's expected to be strong, masculine, independent, not needing a man for help, support, or anything for that matter? Why can't we sometimes appreciate feminine women and masculine men indulging in their original gender roles?

So you want badass, strong, masculine women? Then expect weak, feminine, submissive male characters degrading themselves by embarrassingly simping to women indefinitely.

There's more to it than we think. Why would the FL, a top star actress accept a role where she dies in the beginning with minimal screentime?
