It's not that Peach is so dumb that he can't read between the lines when it comes to Thee's feelings. Peach is an introvert, so he is emotionally cautious. Plus, he has low romantic self confidence as seen from his previous relationships. So in a way, these two are going to be each other's anchors.

Baikhaw is being used and supported by Tao for his own selfish purpose. He "loves" her and fuels her worst impulses by enabling her.

That soapie that Thee is drawn to says a lot about him. It probably provided a safe place and warmth for him during his upbringing. In most cases, adults don't hold onto childhood comfort (as Peach said soapies are a thing of his past) unless that comfort carried them through something painful. That lakorn was perhaps Thee's refuge, the one part of his past that didn't hurt him. Or maybe I'm just over analyzing! 🤔

Soon, he'll find that sense of home and warmth in Peach, and he wouldn't need that lakorn anymore. Peach feels like the first real life version of warmth that Thee used to find in the lakorn. Peach is not just a friend; Peach is home.
