How can this be brilliant writing when its clearly an adaptation of the award winning classic movie Gone with the Wind. From the belle of the ball heartbreaker, first love Ashley marrying the gentle Melanie. During war, Scarlett took care of Melanie and everyone around her using resourcefulness. Married to survive. Her personal losses didn’t weaken her resolve and character. Romance was a sideline for her. I’ve watched GWTW many times in my lifetime. My dearest is unlike any historical Korean drama I’ve watched. Go figure.

Episode 3 is giving me The secret life of my secretary vibes. i dropped that drama early on because I couldn’t accept their romance if he loved someone else. Not to mention her play on his weakness. Second rate is not my idea of love. Destined with you is following along the same lines. ML was rude to her even siding with his GL on the school bullying. Then there’s the witch factor that got his family cursed in the first place. Not buying the love about face. We’ll see 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well said. They were open and loving to each other throughout the drama. I understand his need for oblivion after the final battle. Good ending, better after readers shared the novel ending. On to the next adventure.
