While the ML and FL have insane chemistry, this drama was mehhhhhhhhh... Some of the acting from some of the side characters was cringey AF. They both need better scripts. I've seen him in three dramas with the FL, and his characters feel the same in all, and the 10-14 mins per episode is enough.
Just finished the last four episodes… Hands down, this is one of the best K-dramas I’ve ever watched. Everything was perfect! The ML and FL, both in their younger and older versions, absolutely killed their roles.
This was my first time watching the FL (IU) in a drama, and she is so so good, her acting felt so real and believable. As for the ML (Park Bo Gum), he did a fantastic job in this drama, way better than in Encounter (the first drama I saw him in). I have zero complaints. I laughed, I cried (Episode 16 wrecked me 😩😩😩), and I loved every second of it.
So, I finally got around to watching the last two episodes, and I’m not sure how I feel about this drama. The storyline was definitely unusual and kept me engaged, but the ending just didn’t do it for me.
So basically, the theory is that she’s clearly something, if not a witch, and you’ll die only if you stay with her or she likes you back? ???. And somehow, the detective was the same? I feel like they should have shown more about his own story, but I’m not the director.
And how did the SFL suddenly catch feelings for the detective?? Like, when did that even happen? Was it from the first moment she looked at him, or did I miss something?
Anyway, this drama was something; that’s the only word I can use.
I enjoyed the first four episodes. The part where he swam back from the ship was hilarious. There’s no K-drama without the drama… lol. The preview of the next episodes looks good; I can't wait.
The way the FL says GE-SE-KIA cracks me up. It's now my favorite word to say for no reason. 😂
The male lead’s character is a walking red flag. He and the female lead had no chemistry, even though she tried her best. Maybe the age gap between them played a role in that.
The female lead is such a pushover. I expected her to at least pretend not to care and make him sweat a little, but she accepts him so easily, begging him to say ‘I love you’ was just pure cringe. And then giving the baby the ML took care of back to his birth mother like it was nothing? Ridiculous, but okay.
And those last few episodes… what was the writer smoking? Ending it with him having amnesia? LOL, you just have to laugh.
It’s funny that she starred in both this drama and Fireworks of My Heart, where she basically plays the same character.
I liked her in Are You the One?—at least there, her character wasn’t pathetic.
I dunno about anyone, but I liked this drama. It started slow, but it eventually picked up, and episode 7 about his brother made me cry so badly. The second couple were boring to me, especially the second male lead crying face, which made me cringe. Maybe because of the character he acted in Impossible Heir, I could not take him seriously in this drama.
The back and forth in this drama was exhausting. I don't hate this drama, but I do not love it either. The villagers spent 11 episodes hating the female lead, and suddenly, it disappears in episode 12. How??? I like both leads, but the script wasn't it.
Japanese ver. Is disappointing for me.korean ver. Was better than this.Don't know why i Couldn't feel any chemistry…
Exactly, he barely speaks, I can’t even tell if her really likes the girl cause it’s looking more like It’s for sex and nothing else. The Korean version even as much as I hated the ML’s character you could feel the chemistry and he TALKED.
The reason I even watched this drama is when I saw the trailer play on Netflix and saw the ML’s face (so fine).
I didn’t like the Korean version because the FL was too stupid and the ML was a walking red flag; however, this version, while not so bad, is too rushed and all over the place; it’s hard to really feel the chemistry between both leads and the added storyline of the girl dying, I don't think it was needed in my opinion. Overall, it's not bad. The ML’s and FL’s outfits are ridiculous.
I hope Park shin hye WINS every best actress award cause she embodied this role..I was so impressed with her acting. My favorite scenes are when she gives the bad guys a taste of their own medicine especially the guy that killed his family and the serial killer.
The kiss scene with the ML, chef kiss 😚 I hope the ML takes up more roles. The funeral scene for the police officer was the best acting he did all through the series.
I hope there’s a season 2 cause she never made a decision to be human or go back to hell.
Worst Finale Episode Ever. There were so many annoying/irritating/cringe all over the episode. * Everyone pampering…
Everything written here is exactly my thoughts but I just couldn’t bring myself to type it. I kept pausing each scene to laugh because I couldn’t believe what I was watching. Coming from her acting in welcome to samldari, I just don’t understand why she picked this script.

9.8/10
(-0.2 because I wanted more Park Bo Gum)

Only thing I like was the salanghae sound track..I need to see the name of the script writer so I can avoid their series next time.
Oh the proposal scene…MAD CRINGE, the worst…except the translation was wrong but saying‘I think I want to marry you’🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
