Yes something is up with the CEO's wife. She was sitting in bed looking at him like she was trying to figure out the best method and timing to kill him. He looks easy to kill or put into a coma anyway. I don't know why she thought it was a good idea to hide that photo from Jae-in without emptying it from the trash folder. She should have let Jae-in see it and handle her own husband. She may end up in trouble herself because she is not that smart.

CEO is not the smartest guy in the room. He let a long time loyal employee go based off what is son-in-law told him and then lied that he looked into it. As I said before he looks really easy to take out because he is also naive.

The doctor's sister is probably our first death. She has no backing and now knows some secrets that she would be better off not knowing.

There is a way out. There is no reason why writers can't show the evil tropes of a female lead being deceived and taken advantage of, while at the same time showing her with the ability to see through the deception and not easily gaslighted. She can be respectful to her in-laws without becoming a servant in their household.

They can still write an intense, suspenseful drama, they just have to be a lot more creative and resist writing the same script over and over again while only replacing the actors.

The doctor seems to have something going on with her father, and we don't know what that is yet, but she seems to indicate that's why she is sticking with her worthless husband.

As I have watched this type of drama, I am starting to get to the point where I don't feel sorry for what happens to the FL at all. It is very frustrating watching someone be so naive and clueless until they lose everything, including family members and children, because they refuse to accept or acknowledge any of the many clues that something is off.

I can't even root for their comeback because even though they are being portrayed as a victim, the portrayal is often presented in such a way to indicate everything is their own fault. So when I see scenes where the villain laughs in their face and declares they should have paid attention to what was happening around them, I find myself agreeing.

You know, at some point, the weak female lead role in K-dramas should die.
