Lots of eye candy, interesting story, acceptable logic, almost good outcome, although I was hoping for a different ending for some of the characters.
Overall I enjoyed the show and will probably rewatch some of the really good episodes again.
And.... after watching A Dream within a Dream, I smile a lot when I see similarities between such shows. 😁

You're right. Having different layers of clothings, is a common custom among many asian ethnicities. We have the same custom but the design of the layers are different from ethnicity to ethnicity.

Despite liking both leads very much, I dropped it at ep 5.
First because I find this 'rich husband hunting' theme both boring and uninteresting. Second because I was not satisfied with the overall atmosphere of the show. Third because I feel bad for the games of such huntings.

Although the way Hey ye talks about emperor Mo's and the Empress' love story sounds like he knows the real story better than others.
