After a VERY long break, I FINALLY finished this mess. smh. It was such a struggle to get through the wash and repeat theme of this show. By the end, I actually LOVED Fei Long, and HATED Pat with a passion. lol
The romance of the story had it's moments in some decent make out scenes, but just barely. The snidely grin that Elyse had on his face in most of his attempts at romance with Pat drove me nuts. His expressions seemed to say "I know you want me, even though you keep saying no. AND I'm so handsome and charming (not) that you can't really resist me." eyeroll
When Pat went off to cry, because he saw E making out with Kim, that really irritated me. Just ONCE I'd love to see that hurt, crying character slap back; march into the room and shout out something like "HOE! Get your hands OFF my man!!" and then grab them by their hair and throw them out of the room. lol
Side note: Wardrobe needs to learn how to dress such pale people. All that cream, and white on Pat just washed him out. No pizzaz of any sort. (and don't get me started on those glasses.)
What a fantastic series! The last two episodes were so incredibly well done, I teared up so many times. It was so romantic, and so lovely the way they came to understand and support each other! well acted. well directed. superb job by all!
the best review I've read in ages! LOVED how the number of characters kept multiplying. Exactly how I felt every time they introduced another new character with title card. lol thanks for the entertainment!
Wait a minute. Don't we watch these shows BECAUSE of the tropes? I WANT to watch the bossy/cold CEO and the smart/unrecognized dependable office worker I WANT to watch forced cohabitation, forgotten childhood friends, enemies to lovers, contract relationships, etc. There's COMFORT in the predictability. When my day is hard, I want to just relax into a sweet, lovey dovey romance or romcom (my preferred genres) and magic the world away; where i can let my mind just float along for the ride. I KNOW I will get all the fun, fluff, and predictable drama I want BECAUSE of the tried and true tropes that are IN these shows.
As a westerner, I also loved reading Harlequin Romances when I was a teenager, (very predictable), and later in life, I watched Hallmark movies too. (where you KNEW the ONLY kiss you were going to get would be at the end, and the FL was going to be a florist, a baker, or a photographer. lol)
But that's WHY I watched/read them. It's WHY I watch K, T, Thai, JP Romances. I know what I signed up for. I know I will usually be satisfied with the story, the romance, the heart. (even when the acting was not as good as it could have been. )

you know, if they can have 30 yr olds playing highschoolers, WHY couldn’t they have cast 19 yr olds to play…
exactly!! it does. I can’t imagine how uncomfortable those little children must’ve been, I mean 14? yes they are actors, but there should be limits to what actors who are under the legal age should be allowed to do. other than that I really loved this series.
just read this manga and it's OH so darling! light, fluffy, and a quick read. I sincerely hope they manage to capture the charm, innocence and sweetness that IS the character Tai-chan. There was very little drama and the cuteness was on overload. Live Action: Ep 1-so far so good. I'm happy with the casting. Tai-chan is not coming off quite so confidant in what he wants, but he's not shy either so I'll take that. lol I like Takara's actor too, the looks and attitude are what I hoped for. overall, pretty good first ep.
any time! happy to be of service. lol I prefer romance genre over everything else. But here lately, my romances are being hi-jacked with more drama than I would like. lol BLs in particular are exploring all sorts of other avenues, so to follow my actors, I'm watching things outside my norm. Some are ok. but I really don't do horror or thrillers either. So it's a bit of a struggle sometimes. lol what platforms are you watching on? I comment on Disqus which is attached to several watch websites
