I think YR and JP will be together and my theory is based on something funny:) so, we already saw YR's dream of the 2 kissing and usually in Kdramas you don't see ML kissing both FL and 2nd FL. It might be ridiculous but I think that's the fine line between the typical Kdrama and American series. I think it might be because of Korean culture? There was a drama called "Our Unwritten Seoul" which portrayed twin sisters and their love life. Park Bo Young was playing both of the sisters and she only kissed one guy in the whole drama and only hugged the other one:)
Also, I have to say this drama reminds me very much of "Itaewon Class" which Kim Da Mi also was suffering because ML loved another girl but in the end her efforts paid off and they ended up together:)
The story feels real for the first time. The ML not taking a lot of time to tell FL about what's going on with him and them going through waves of emotions, having fun for a second and tearing up the next. It's a struggle, something they both don't want. It's unknown and scary but they love each other and every time something happens it proves that even in this scary time they can't just leave each other. They get worried and they push and pull. It's raw and beautiful.
And I feel it will be a happy ending. The scenes keep showing how the ML has given up on himself and all his emotions are coming up. but I think this all leads to him being healed from getting all this anger out and the FL will push him to have hope and bet on winning over this.
Episode 11 felt completely off, everything was very predictable. I liked the whole drama though, it was still enjoyable. Wish the romance was more deep and they had allocated more time for it.
Based on the preview of the next episode, it was the chairwoman who planned the entire operation. He finally figured…
I think the NIS boss is compromised by that chairwoman. So, he's actually helping her out to find the gold bars. The preview showed that chairwoman picked Hae Seong (that's what I understood).
But it makes sense though, that’s why he still has his childish ways. He would look goofy being old and going…
That's the whole point of the story! Don't you see these kind of people in world? not acting like their age due to past trauma? getting stuck in their childhood and not moving on? because it's too hard to face the real world otherwise? His acting is what story and his character is calling for
Thanks for the pep talk. I wanna like this show but the storytelling is slooooowwww
you're welcome :) I think it's best for you to watch it once all the episodes are out. The Chinese one is a movie. So, I think the Kdrama is trying to add depth to it, but our minds are attracted to different things. It's fair you don't enjoy it if you like fast paced dramas.

And yes I love seeing YR and JP together :)
